As the main argument for criminalization I constantly hear people on TV spouting statistics on how the smoke damages the lungs......nobody ever says anything about vaporization as being the simple remedy for this. There is no need to smoke anything. Most of my friends have never even heard of vaporizers, which shows how little good information is out there for people to form a reasonable opinion about the effects.

Vaporizers still produce smoke, at least at the top end of the dial, just not nearly as much and it is a much finer smoke. I gave up smoking completely due to lung damage (already done unfortunately and likely as much if not more to do with smoking cigarettes in my youth... those things should be banned from the planet (I'm still waiting for the free market to figure that one out).

There is, in fact, a recent study that proves MMJ does not cause lung cancer. I am farely busy currently, but I will find it and return to post, at a later date for you.. Bump, if I don't. pr:jointsmile:

A study does not make it fact. This is a very complex issue that will require deep research to determine. Smoking anything will damage your lungs, increase the likelihood of opportunistic infection, and exacerbate any existing issues. You don't need a study to understand that...

They found that people who smoked MJ had less of a chance of developing lung cancer than people who had never smoked anything in their lives...

Pretty nuts... But they are saying that MJ has an anti-tumour component built into it. They say that even if you smoke MJ with tobacco this anti-tumour effect nulls the damage somehow.

I don't know how much of this is true, I'm just reporting what I have been hearing.

Maybe check it out if you like. If it is true you can vape your asses off and have less chance of getting lung cancer than the guy who owns Marlboro (cos I bet he doesn't smoke the stuff!)

Yep there has yet to be any scientific evidence that smoking cannabis causes lung damage. Read a research paper the other day that stated that smoking cannabis increases lung capacity.

Believe what you want but smoke of any kind is not going to help your lungs.

But yet there have been no recorded instances of cannabis only smokers with emphysema. Would love to be in a study group because I have never smoked tobacco, but have smoked cannabis for over 40 years. Lungs have always been healthy.
