Why no sticky stuff (resin)?

I am a first timer and my plant is 13 weeks into flowering. Some leaves are turning yellow and dropping off. Why isn't there any resin yet? Is it necessary? I'm afraid to chop it down too soon or when to do it. Please help

Yes under the scope I can see lots of crystals which are clear (like little mushrooms). But I don't have any resin on the outside of the bud. Is this OK? I don't want to overshoot it and loose everything. I'm concerned that there are no amber crystals. Maybe I need to wait a bit longer. But I thought it should be done around 10 - 11 weeks. I'm at the end of the 13th week now. By the way this is my first time.

Can you describe your set-up and also, what is resin in your mind ?

Trichomes are what you are looking for, cloudy to amber. You mention resin ? What exactly is that ? Cannabis resin ?

You make cannabis resin from trichomes by collecting and pressing them. Cannabis resin doesn't just grow on the plant.

by resin I mean the sticky stuff that covers the outside of the bud and surrounding leaves. I've seen pictures of it on the web.

he's just confused I think...the sticky stuff he's referring to is the resin that the trichrome glands produce.
