who thinks they just want to get caught by their parents? it would save a lot of sneeking around and hiding shit. like i almost want to come out and tell them....has anyone else had these thought? there is nothing they can do about it is the thing, i mean im not gonna stop if they dont let me do anything ill just smoke at the house... and if they send me to military school ill just leave and be like im not going...(they have threatened to send me their based on my behaviour at school

It's pretty wierd, about 3 weeks ago i was tired of hiding weed so i thought of telling them. Whenever I came how high and they asked " are u on something?", I just said stuppid shit like "yea dad, i had some shots of heroin a few minutes ago". They thought i was trying to act funny so they just said " wateever, ur stupid go away". Then a week after i wanted to tell them i got caught :( . I smoked in my room and in the morning they smelled somwthing and later found ashes on my desk. I thought theyd be more cool with it but they flipped out. Id say keep hiding it untill u get caught. It all depends how ur parents are. They might say its a gateway "narcotic" like my parents did. Or they might be like my friends dad and let him smoke in his room instead of getting caught on the street by cops. So if i were u id hide it as long as possible unless ur parents r cool.

ive always hated when some anti drug commercial used to come on before they had ever caught me and they used to be like "im glad u dont do that stuff cuz itll kill u" and it used to make me so mad and i wanted to just tell them i did do it. but i always restrained myself. now when they see one of those commercials i feel all akward cuz like everyone in my family stares at me like im the devil. haha

Yeah I have had those thoughts before, I was actually going to tell me parents but I had to get caught first lol. I was cleaning and putting a new screen in my pipe when my mother walked in. (Busted!) I always thought it would be easier to just tell them.

i got caught at 13 the only thing they said was keep it away from the younger siblings that was 29 yrs ago havnt hid the fact that i smoke pot from anyone since and never will if you dont like weed dont smoke it but i'll be damned if anyone is going to tell me i cant smoke or grow a plant in whats suposedly the most free nation on the planet

I think a lot of people take their parents for idiots. Our parents were our age one time. I'm sure most parents out there actually know their kids do that stuff, they don't make a big deal out of it. My parents know i smoke weed, they're exactly happy about it, but it's not like they can control wether i do it or not. As long as i'm mature about it and safe with the law, they could care less. Afterall, it IS only a plant.

totally agree w/mystic .... very few parents will condone weed if you're a minor, but they know what's up. The best policy is don't ask, don't tell and don't get in trouble.

When you're an adult, most parents care that you're responsible, a good person, and you're safe.

There is alot of stress on parents. Do the best you can not to add more.

Fuck my parents think i do drugs, they know i drink. Got suspended for drinking when i was 15, and then a couple weeks later, came home drunk, all this after going 2 years without getting caught for anything. Then i came home high, and i had to go for a blood test, failed, and then had another one and passed, blazed a day before and passed. Then my mom found a pack of cigarettes but didn't care cause i got booked for drinking and drugs. My mom thinks i don't do drugs now, because the doc didn't tell her that i failed the 1st test. WHen i have a kid, i won't be like my parents, specifically my mom. My dad is cool, my mom ain't..

lol. I definately get the feeling my mom knows, but neither of us say anything. Sometimes she pulls the "Im glad you dont do that shit, you wouldnt be able to do the things you do if you did" (did that make sense? eek.) it doesnt matter though, she's a smoker too. I really dont know what she would do if she found any paraphernalia or anything, shes kinda hard to predict sometimes. I think shes bipolar....lol. I ran in the door puking drunk once and she laughed.

My mom knows pot; my dad was a frequent smoker until just a bit ago (job takes up too much of his life, it's a shame). She's also incredibly intolerant of pot. She'll put up with my dad doing it, but it gets her angry.

That is, she'll put up with it from my dad. Not from me. No way. You should hear the talks she sometimes gives me.

I've been smoking for years, in my own home, and I've been caught by my dad. He only helped me hide it from my mom. We both know how irrational she would be.

If you think that sounds shifty, you don't know my crazy mom.




Long story short, some parents really just DON'T know, and sometimes it's best if they don't.

I always get that feeling that I just want to tell them because it gets annoying after awhile of just hiding it, but I'm not going to tell them because im not for sure yet on the result :p haha.

i recomend sitting them down on the sofa, and tell them that before they speak, they should listen to what you have to say. tell your parents you smoke pot, and immediately give them proof of the fact that pot isnt really as bad as the government says it is. let your parents understand that marijuana isnt something that is taking over your life, but that you do really enjoy it. if your parents are like mine, they will gain alot of respect for you because you came forward instead of lying. waiting to be caught is easy, since if you live with your parents i can almost guarentee you will be caught, so it is alot easier to just come forward. doing this might make your relationship with your parents kind of akward at first, but trust me when i say that in the long run it is much better. thats all i gotta say, peace.

I told my mum that i smoke and she's cool with it, my dad has walked in on me and my buddies packing a bong, but he never said anything, also the other day when i was stoned i left the box from my scales in the bathroom and he found it. He just said is this your box and i said yea and that was it. He knows i've tried it and he doesn't care. I also knows he smokes hash because my mum gets it for him lol but he doesn't know i know that. I guess depending on your parents it's a choice to tell them you smoke or not.

ok, i have pretty nosey parents, but ive managed to get away with it pretty easily, heres what you do:

-keep your weed in a REALLY safe place, possibly at a friends house
- when you wanna toke, say your having a shower, then go in the bathroom, lock the door, and hawaaiian hotbox the place (thats when you hotbox your bathroom and turn on the shower.) then toke up, blowing the smoke into the shower, and turn on your fan. then, either wait for the smell to go away, or jump in the shower, it boosts my high ussually. spray a little lysol or whatever if need be and you should be good

My Mom let me start smoking ciggarettes when I was sixteen and shes from germany and you can smoke there at that age, so she figured it was pretty normal that Id pick it up (plus she knew I would do it anyway even if it wasnt allowed), so later on in the year I was tired of hiding the fact that I smoke pot (me and my mom are like friends we can talk about anything--shes kick ass), so I figured Id tell her. When I told her that I smoked pot, she was like "I know you do, remember I was a teenager too in the 70's for christs sake", then she said its fine as long as I dont get in trouble with it at school or on the streets or whatever.

Most sane parents would rather have you smoke at home and stay outta trouble, rather than make you go drive your car to some sketchy parking lot where you could potentially be arrested.

I find that I like my high much better when at home, or at a friend's house rather than out "in the streets". Not much chance of getting busted in a quiet household.

climbing high is spot on. If your parents are reasonable people and not completly brainwashed and close-minded they will listen to you and let you smoke if you talk to them about it and how it really isnt dangerous.

damn right...he was on his way out at the time though. He picked it up (i didnt realise id dropped it till he had it in his hand. He looked at it and i said "dad you know what it is" (he used to be a full on stoner/grower) Then he gave it back to me (best bit lol) and sed "ill talk to you about that later" All my friends were just staring. I wasnt too paranoid cos im sure they kinda new before that. Its been about a month since then and still no talk, which is pretty sweet. We still laugh about it lol.

My mom takes bags and pipes and shit if I leave them laying around, she doesn't fuck with cigarettes or anything, I mean I'm 18 so there's really nothing they can do there. And I don't really care if they take my shit because I'm the one who's stupid for leaving it out.
