iv had a few attempts at growing and so far they have all been a failure. all my last attempts have been outdoor grows and the very last one i did made it for about two months and was looking really good, until one day the leaves all started drooping down and looked kinda soggyish. it died the next day and now i want to try an indoor grow and hope this time its a success. all i need is a light now and i wanted to know what type of light i should get that i would be able to buy at HomeDepot. thanks. :rasta:

thanks man, i bought a few heat lights from home depot since ive started this thread. right now my plants are about 3 inches, its only been 8 or 9 days, so its growing pretty quick. im using miracle grow right now for the soil, but i was wondering if it would be a good idea to move the plant from soil to these little gel-ish ball things that capture water and water your plant for you whenever your plant needs it?

Heat lights don't work good man, my mom's friend used those . The plants got real tall and eventually just fell over. The easiest and cheapest way to go is. Miracle grow but add pearlite, you can get that for like a dollar at walmart. Then use the CFL bulbs any CFL will work bro. I have two nice plants growing on 3 cfl's right now. 284849

I don't know what you're talking about 'gel ball' things. But no don't move your plants now they will die for sure. Give them a few weeks to develop strong roots. What are they growing in ? You should start out in 16 oz plastic cups. If you don't have pearlite in your soil the roots will grow slower.

My two cents:
I used fluorescent lights for my first 2 months. I got an 8 bulb T5 fixture from hydrofarm. I decided that the 2ft long bulbs were enough for my setup(6 plants). I ran the lights for 24 hrs a day and the plants all got about 20 inches tall and about 30 inches wide.

Last week I started my 12 hour dark/12 hour light phase so my girls would start flowering. I purchased a 600 watt HID set up and got a dual bulb that is HPS and Metal Halide. The plants seem to really react well to this light and in 8 days have grown another 3.5 inches each and are really bushy.

well im using miracle grow right now, i got it for about $8 at homedepot. i will deffinitly try the pearlite stuff though. im about to go get the cow manure pots at homedepot and i will probably get pearlite too. have you ever tried or heard anything about the cow manure pots before? cuz i wanna get somebody's review on them first before i go to buy them.

right now im using 9inch plastic pots, after a few months i may move the plants to new pots though. Also in the last few days ive had problems with my growing location, so next week sometime im moving the plants to an outdoor grow and im getting a 4ft x 4ft greenhouse to keep any animals away

yea i just heard of the cow manure pots, seems pretty legit though. i have a feeling ill get really good results with the pots, i mean there made outta cow shit so i dont think it should be bad for the plant. in a few days ill post pics of my plants and my set up.

yea i got the light, but im moving my plants outdoors soon. heres the kind of light i got: 250-Watt Incandescent R40 Red Heat Lamp Light Bulb-415836 at The Home Depot

the greenhouse im getting in 2 days: 4 ft. Deep x 4 ft. Wide Pop-Up Planthouse Greenhouse-FHPH140 at The Home Depot

Make sure if you get autos that they have high THC contents. I found some at dinafem that had a high content. Most autos are runderalis and have low THC like 10, 11 percent. But those are easy I guess. I just have a light timer set to 18/6 it cost like 3 bucks. I can choose when I want mine to flower , I could flower from seed. I can choose how tall my plant gets though , just by pushing a button on my 3 dollar timer.
