Help me with a good strain

I'm in Wash, state and a fairly new green card holder. I'm looking for a type of strain to manage pain, spinal arthitis. I dont like the type of pot that makes you couch potato or that "dumb" really stoned feeling. I need something I can still function, think and work outside garden etc. and more energy but without the anxiety part of it. What should I ask for??.. thanks, Mike

New York city diesel. Hands down. Good for chronic pain and also an anti inflammatory. A personal Favorite medicine as I suffer chronic pain and have suffered a broken lower back. It leaves you focused and in a feeling of well being.

Mike, what has worked for my pain mgmt and is uplifting is "Mr Nice Guy" Although always keep in mind what seems to be effective for one person may not suit another.
In other words, experiment. But "Nice Guy" is just that for me. Happy exploring.
