Hello, I am a first time grower

In terms of equipment i have not used any lights just the power of a window sill and the outdoors
I have been using top of the range seedling soil, and recently re potted using more of the seedling soil mixed with standard garden manure that we use on vedge's

I started from seed, and have no clue of what strain as they were a random selection of seeds from a mate, so no i dont know if there male or female... yet
I am curently using rain water to water them, this measured at about PH 7/8 on ph paper.
Have not given my plants any water feed or anything similar and they get watered once/ twice a day depending on the weather

Growing outside now, or just hardening plants off, out in the garden, lots of sunlight when its out ( live in england -_-:( )
Also No sign of any pesticides :)

In terms of my strain i have no clue like i said i just grew them from seed!

So now i have had a few problems so after around 10 weeks of growing they were looking nice and healthy until the past few weeks, soem of the lower leaves have developed a dry edge to the leaves, this seems to be spreading up the plant, but only occuring on the early larger leaves, new growth is healthy, but there are some spots of dryness on the leaves and the edges are also looking bad (see images)

I wonder if you're keeping the soil too wet. Let it dry out before you water again. Also, under the sun these plants can grow to 20 feet tall, so be careful about using the sun and trying to get them back indoors. would be better if you got a sodium light and just kept them indoors if they can't get tall, or you'll have to trim them alot. It's going to be a while before they get only 12/12 lighting which will make them bud, as fall is a long way off even for England. you can control time of lighting better if you keep them indoors with a sodium light and a timer. They look light they need to be transplanted into something much bigger, especially if you're going to keep them outside. This process isn't cheap. the easy thing to do is find fertilizer that is in powder form, not crystals but powder, and usually comes in a box, like Dr. Earth or Foxfarm fruit and flower. You just need a standard NPK ratio, one for all around purpose like 5-5-5 and put in about one half cup of fert or so for every gallon of potting soil. this way you won't have to give anything except water unless a deficiency shows up. Don't use soil that has fertlizer in it already, get the kind that is for seedlings or doesn't have fert in it. Trying to grow indoor plants under the sun is actually kind of a bad idea cuz the growth can be crazy. rain water if fine but distilled is better. rain water brings pollutants but you can use it if you want. distilled water is pure.

Okay sounds good, i shall get some all round fert, and i have only just re-potted, so hopefully the re potting process will also help because when re potting a few of them were quite root bound :) cheers though :) you couldn't put a definite decision on what is actually up with the plants them selves though could you? thanks

it's probably a combination of the things I mentioned. give it some time and see what happens.
