YAY first post! Hello to all!

Anyway, I have a cupboard set up, about 2 and a half feet wide(maybe closer to 3), 1 and 1/2 foot deep, and just about 4 feet tall, little bit less than.(excuse me, i don't really work with the imperial system). I have a 400watt hps in there, right at the top, which takes less than a foot of space. then 4 pots, all with bagseed(I want to practise indoor before importing seeds; S.A doesnt have a seed bank). Now all of them have sprouted and are growing fairly nicely, one has a slightly weak stem but i have corrected that. One died after sprouting(seed sheath didnt come off the dicot leaf things :/) it is the 11th day. Don't know which ones are female yet.

The ventilation(on one side as it is against a wall...) 2 Fans extracting just beneath the light, there are 4 inches square each. then close to the floor i have 2 smaller fans, about 3 inches square... one extracts, one intakes. the intake is just to blow on the weaker plant really. and for the front, I have a white sheet covering...(i know i will have to change this for the flowering phase.) What I really need to know is, what the hell am I doing??? :wtf: I am worried about space. About the stretch period. About yield. About burning them when the grow a bit bigger(the temp is fine as it is now, but im worried when they grow close to the light, that they will burn). Should i attempt to train them to not grow too tall... guys. help.

Oh ya. I have organic fert. Just a Rose fertilizer really, just wanted to have something nice for them when they start to flower.. Will be implementing the mollasses vibe later aswell. after I get some feedback from all you red eye jedi growers out there :stoned:

"then close to the floor i have 2 smaller fans, about 3 inches square... one extracts, one intake" that aint goin to do anythin. an outake at the bottom next to the intake? thats jkust blowin air out that the intake is bringin in. have them both as intake because u got the 2 at the top for outake. yes u can train ur plants if u have limited space. get some pics of your grow set up.

Seedling stems grow long thin and weak if the light source is to far away from them. Id recomend a T5 flourescent system as the plants can touch the tubes and wont burn. During the first few weeks HPS is too strong for the plants anyway and you need to concentrate on getting those stems as short thick and strong as possible to support whats to come. I had the tubes an inch to two inches away from the tops with a low level fan which i increased as she got stronger and have really strong stems. Regarding space, topping, super cropping and tieing down will help. d0ct0r
