That depends.
There are at least 4 kinds of myeloproliforative disorders. (MPDs)
If you are talking about polycythemia vera, (most common), conventional treatment is available.
There are meds that inhibit platelet production.
It is important to note that this is not leukemia.
There is evidence that supports cannabis for treating leukemia.
(I am unfamiliar with any MPD/cannabis trials.)
You may be able to supply evidence that it is effective for the treatment of polycythemia vera.
What I'm suggesting, is getting the first few blood tests to determine severity, and to track the rate of overproduction.
Then begin a trial with Simpson oil and note the numbers in the next blood test.
Document it here, and we will all know if it is effective, yah?
Disclaimer:
I am not a doctor, and would not suggest self medication with anything that might do more harm than good.
That said, I have no reservations suggesting a cannabis trial.
It may be the most harmless medication that you will ever find.
So, if you are willing to try it, and document the trial, you could do a great service to us all, with minimum personal risk.
(Other than legal issues, that is.)
What say you?

Many thanks to weezard, yes it polycythemia Vera, iam on hydra meds, aspirin and have to drain blood every now
And then, I stumbled into ricks hemp oil video just couple of days ago, since then I've been hooked to videos claiming to the healing power of the hemp oil. Iam 56 years old now, no longer a user of marijuana. It's was in the Woodstock era
That I was heavy on this. I don't know anyone here in Sydney who supply or makes hemp oil. Many thanks weezard for your reply.

Emigrate mate! :D
Seriously, while you can grow and extract your own meds anywhere, Australia has some pig-ignorant pot laws.
Very risky business.
Got any old friends that moved to the US, or Amsterdam, or Spain?
Perhaps a vacation trip to Oregon or California with a stop at one of their quaint dispensaries.
(I'm told that a medical card is quite easy to obtain on short notice.)
Presently, I'm supplying Simpson oil to a glioblastoma, (metastatic brain tumor), patient and an advanced prostate cancer patient.
These trial are new and I have no solid numbers yet.
But, subjectively, it seems to be going well. :)
Will document results here, and on another board.
The mechanism claimed is effective in culling abnormal cells.
As I understand MPD, the cells produced are normal, they are just overproduced.
While I see no theory of benefit, with Simpson oil, it's still worth a try.
Medicine's cardinal rule is "First, do no harm!"
So, might not help, but will not harm, works for me.
Whatever you try, good luck to ya.

Thank you friend, let me know how your trials went on your patients with your Simpson oil.
It pleases me to read amazing stories who have success in using hemp oil.
I might get An ounce maybe here in Sydney and try it myself. How many grams of oil you reckon I get
From an ounce? Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Peace.

Hi katemidlleton, And welcome. Have you actually found any documented cures for your disorder with 'hemp' oil?
Yeh, what he said! Agree with Weezard and certainly wish we had patient illness LOGS like GROW logs, would be interesting. However, it remains 'unconventional' medication here. And definitely, one major reason why we have medical marijuana laws in California.
Please keep up this thread, if at all possible? Thanks for your posting. Appreciate this thread, :rasta: pr

"Roughly? 28. :D"
Oops! Misread the question.
(Did I mention the "side effects"?) :)
Actual yield will depends on the "frostyness" of the budsbuds, but it would average ~3 grams.
