Ok so 12 plants in a edo flow bucket system, 5 plants got way over water like to the point of all heads where down all leafs down leafs cruld up, dam right 5 foot plants . So I took them out of the buckets and out of the clay pallets , CUT off about 3 inches of the bottom of roots WAY mushy, then replanted back in to clean buckets and new clay, put the buckets on a drip and back in veg, with bags on them, hit them with good root and nutrients, what do you think are they going to die,?

Probably.

Unless you kill off the pathogen that turned the root to mush.
Hydrogen Peroxide might be the way to go.

New clay pellets and a root pruning are cosmetic at best, they do not address the infection.
