View Full Version : Some peace of mind - urine test

Hello everyone,

I recently got accepted into a medical program, and they require me to do a drug test (which I am 99% sure is a urine test, unless they throw a curve ball). I do not know the date for the test yet, although I am sure I will have to schedule it either in the first, or second week of may.

I've been researching methods I can use to cleanse my self faster, and after browsing some of these forums, I've also realized that the ONLY way to pass the test is to stop smoking ahead of time and do aerobic exercise.

Some background - I am 5'11", and 145 pounds. I used to smoke (I say used to because I stopped last Friday, today is my 4th day not smoking), around 5 - 6 one hitters a day (I'd usually go through a gram in a week depending on whether I smoked with my friends or by myself). I would usually smoke in the morning before class, and then after class, and then again at night before I fell asleep.

My question is that, is there a possibility I will pass the drug test if I stop completely smoking till the day of the test, and try to exercise every day (except a couple days before the test, because from what I have read, it will show up). My diet is strictly vegetarian, and I've read somewhere that it is easier to "get rid" of THC if you're a vegetarian, if someone can back up this claim or prove it false, it would be awesome. Also does eating more fiber help? I am also trying not to eat fatty foods such as pizza and other cheese related products. I've also upped my fluid intake (which again, I have read it doesn't work, but it gives me some peace of mind that I am trying). I drink water/cranberry juice, but I try not to over do it.

So based on this info, it would be nice to get some sort of feedback since it seems like there are some really knowledgeable people in this area on this forums (aka people that wont tell me to drink a lot of water and buy a detox kit).

If I were you I would pick up some cheap test strips online. Start a workout regiment and stick too it. You can add some fiber to your diet by picking up some Metamucil, it will help you to excrete some excess THC through your colon. Along with all this, start testing yourself periodically. I would say... Every 3-4 days. When testing yourself be sure to use the first void of the day, when your THC concentrations are at their peak.

I'm not sure about the Vegetarian diet, but I can't imagine it making any difference. The physical activity will contribute the most aid in helping to burn THC from your fat cells.

Thanks for the response Deige. I plan on adding more fiber to my diet, and I was considering picking up some home drug tests this week so I can test my self periodically.

I have one of those gazelle machines, so I'll be working out on that at least an hour everyday/riding my bike a mile and walking more.
