I have a drug test coming up in a week, it is a urine test. I will be tested using the AMBC products, which I believe are all instant drug tests, so I should have results in 3-5 minutes. I just wanted to know how what my chances are of passing. I am 5'9'' 185, I have smoked about 3-4 months about 2-4 times per week of decent grade stuff. I also workout about 3-4 times a week and have an average metabolism. I took a home drug test with first void in morning and had a very very faint line, but it seems as its negative(this was about 10 days ago). I finally have my urine test next Monday. I will be about 35 days clean. I plan on using dilution. I will be working out hard until 3 days before the test. So are these instant drug test kits used by the collectors similar to the home drug tests?

Thanks for the help guys.

The instant assays used by the collectors and the home tests all function on the same principle. Neither are more accurate than the other.

3 days before the scheduled U/A, take one more home test again using the first-mornings void. If you still test negative (faint line or not) youre good to go. No need for dilution techniques. Just drink only enough fluids to where you can produce a sufficient amount of urine sample at the collection facility.

It wouldn't hurt to chug down tons of cranberry juice lol. Drink as much fluid as you can in a day and workout more as the testing date closes. Don't forget to drink gatorade after - replenishes electrolytes so you wouldn't go into a shock.

Don't forget to drink gatorade after - replenishes electrolytes so you wouldn't go into a shock.Exercising too close to test time can work against a person if a home test shows a positive. Exercise burns fat cells, which releases the stored THC metabolites back into the bloodstream. From there, the kidneys filter the THC metabolites from the bloodstream and deposits them into the bladder for the eventual exit. For this reason, all exercise should be curtailed and the donor should be as dormant as possible (a.k.a. "storage mode") to prevent a bunch of THC metabolites from being released, which will end up in the urine to be detected.

Drinking a bunch of fluids in the days or weeks prior to the U/A is of no help. Drinking fluids only serve to dilute the THC metabolite concentration that is present in the bladder. The idea is to reduce the THCA concentration in the bladder to where the urine sample registers below the cutoff thresholds of the drug screen (providing that the concentration is not too high). This dilution phenomena is only temporary - once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine by the kidneys, and thus the donor would resume testing positive for THC. Therefore, drinking fluids is only helpful on the day of the U/A.

Drinking cranberry juice does nothing but dilute the THCA concentration - as with any other fluid consumed. You can do the same thing using water straight from the tap. And drinking "a ton" of fluids on the day of the U/A will increase the likelihood of the sample being ruled "too-dilute" unless steps are taken to help keep the S/G and creatinine levels within acceptable limits. These steps are outlined in N2's Dilution "sticky" thread.
