I had two White Rhino that I put into flower around 8 weeks ago. They looked fine when I switched from veg to flower. These where grown from seeds and grown in 707 soil. Around week 3 they started showing signs of stress, bottom leaves dieing, limp and poor looking , small colas with no signs of trichs at all. they felt a bit 'spongy' when squeezed.
I was very careful not to overwater, and not to over feed. the temps fluctuated from a high of around 80 deg. to a low around 68 deg. humidity was around 45 to 65 depending on outside weather. As this grow is in an exterior shed that had been converted to a grow room I couldn't get a complete control of temps with the space heater that I am using for suplimental heat. I am using 400 watt hps lamps as a light source and am using well water that has a ph of 7. ( I use ph down to bring it to 5.8 - 6.2 )
I finally just pulled them, as they where so far gone, not dead just sickly.
After closely inspecting the plants I did find one very odd traight that they both had, and that was that the innermost core of the stems where hollow, not the nice light green material that I've seen on others that I have harvested. Is this some kind of result of a virus or fungas or something? I have never seen anything quite like it.
The buds, while not looking good at all, nevertheless didn't have signs of bud rot or anything like that, and there was no exterior sign of fungas or insect activity. Just the hollow stems.
Any ideas would be appreciated as I have another crop comming along and am worried that it may be something that can be passed on to them. ( I do intend to sterilize the room again to prevent it)
