Figured I'd make an account and keep a log of my grow for future reference, slightly nervous that I'll botch it up but still very excited.
My first 2 attempts at growing failed, my first time I think a puppy I was watching dug the plants out of the pots. :[ they had been doing well and just started their vegetation journey. my second batch i had to put inside under terrible lighting for a week because of thunderstorms. Stems got so long there was just no supporting them, by the time i was able to get them outside they were already gone.
I'm hoping to have better luck with these autoflowering plants, Pineapple express i believe is what they are, my gf ordered them off of a website. We are only going to try growing 2 of them for now. I'm setting up for them now and when the seeds come in i can get straight to germinating them.
I was doing a outside/inside grow. I want the best light and to me that'd be sunlight, but i understand that auto's need way more sun so i'm setting up a 250 watt hps light and maybe a few 23 watt blue/red spec cfl for nighttime. I'll be using a 24/0 light cycle just because when they are in the shed at night they won't get as much intensity as daylight so i figured it'd equal out.
I'm using 2 two gallon pots for each baby, and for nutes i heard it'd be alright to just pick out a really good soil because they grow so fast you won't really have long before they are out of the veg stage. so i have nice potting soil picked out and i'm going to mix that with really rich and beautiful compost from the forest near my gf's house.
I'll be using tap water that i'll sit out in a cooler for a day or two for watering, also when it grows closer to the flowering stage i'll be adding a small tablespoon of molasses every other watering perhaps, and maybe some fertilizer to help with flowering but not much. the less the better.
this is just a lil over-view of my plans thus far, if anyone has advice or better ideas to help this be a great yield for a poor ass dishwasher lemme know! ;D
