I am trying to clone my plant and no matter what I try I can't seem to get one to survive I've tried rockwool with rooting powder and with rooting gel, pellets with cloning gel and powder and soil with cloning gel. I have them in a plastic tent for humidity I trim the leaves add a rooting nutrient to the water.

I have the plastic tent in my grow tent with the two mother plants under a 800w metal halide with at least a meter between clones and bulb
Any help would be mgreatly appreciated I don't want to lose this strain :(

Make sure the light is not too close to the babies,,too much heat will kill them,I learned this from experience, also don't trim any of the leaves off just yet,,the leaves are needed to catch the light and direct energy to the plant,,and also check the PH level regurlaly,,

I did think it may have something to do with the light can clones create roots and survive in darkness? At least for this strain until I can get hold of fluorescent tube lights or a low watt CFL

Don't think they'll last too long with no light,,try and get some sunlight on them till you get yourself set up,,

Always Clone under a refracted light.... I use a florescent sunblaze but cheap CFLs should work fine. A MH might be alittle strong. I always use 24 hours of soft light for the first couple of days... after that its just a balance of temp and humidity .

yeah the 600 is to much light they will try and grow instead of throwing out roots, use a small cfl bulb 10 watts will do it about a foot or so away from them..happy cloning..

Sounds good man... Honestly, you dont even need that much power if in the future you want to have a clone chamber and a veg area. I agree with with mickrick that you are focusing on shooting roots out and not growth. Not much light is actually needed, just a soft refracted light!

Yer just a bit low on cash ATM I may just use natural light until they root and then put them in my veg tent for my next lot until I can buy myself a decent clone setup my veg and flowering tent has taken up all my funds lol
