I've been dealing with migraines my whole life, and been smoking weed half my life. Unfortunately, there is no marijuana that can ease the pain of migraines, the best it can do is knock you out so you can sleep and wake up fresh.

I was unsure if my condition warranted me to get a medical marijuana card, but I did some research and found a few helpful sites marijuana doctor (http://www.marijuanadoctor.ca) and cannabis card (http://www.cannabiscard.ca). Check them out, at the very least, you can email them and ask what strains if any in their opinion is best for migraines :)

I tried and successfully used Snoop Dogg strain for migraines. Odd, haven't had any since, either. Not sure that is related, but it worked for my migraines. The links provided in your post will answer your questions pr

Marijuana can provide healing solutions to the toughest of the diseases. Really not sure whether it can provide solution to migraine. But may be.

I've had migraines since I was ten years old. One of the few things that helps, on top of sleeping... is cannabis(figured it out when i was about 22). Any heavy hitting indica recommended for pain management may help: God's Gift(HB I Dominant), Blue Dream(HB), Headband,

It's not 100% though. Sometimes puking or sleeping is the only thing that helps.

Right after posting this, I got a headache that was a killer:

things that worked asap on it:
Headband
White Widow
Tincture made by herbalpotions: Bubba (was the strain it was made from and 3 X's potency)
PFaK

trying to sleep and was thinking I read "blueberry" in this thread and had to come check. Even Blue Dream...I think I would take that off your list. It has blueberry and blueberry, may tend to cause a headache, imho... I use Blueberry for other pains, etc..it is great for those. Just not a migraine. Good luck to you...pr

I have had migraines since I was a teenager - I really feel for you.

At my worst point, I was having them about every 3 days - so one day of misery, one day of feeling out of it with the classic migraine hangover and then one normal day. Crazy as it was, I didn't even realize they were migraines until it got that bad.

Instead of medicating me, my doctor managed to find my trigger fairly fast.
Since then, I've only had them rarely - mostly due to stress or rapidly rising temperatures - like a 30+ degree rise in a 24-hour period. drops don't bother me at all.
This past year, I started having them so often I went back to the doc's & got a prescription. It worked, but it turned out I had a pretty big dental problem that was causing the problem - instead of a toothache, the massive infection was giving me migraines.

Anyway - all that ramble was just to say that it's great if cannabis will help, but you'll be better off trying to identify your triggers and fixing the problem at the source.

@cannabis-seeds: did you continue to have sensitivity with drops in temperatures? just curious? pr:jointsmile:

no - temperature drops don't bother me - just sudden, extreme rises - like 30 or more degrees in a day.
and, not every time.

i'm sure it's something to do with the barometric pressure

Hi HayvenMoses! I am sorry to hear that. I can understand that migraine is a very painful disease. I have seen one of my friend suffering from migraine. But yes Marijuana is one of the best medicine for migraine. It's so effective and it works rapidly and also it has less toxicity. You can go ahead with this treatment of Marijuana.
