I beleive my 6 foot white widow is thriving because of mass fresh air she gets at nightime with bedroom window open,,,,I have had the plant in my grow tent for the last 6 1/2 weeks flowering under a 1000 watts light for 12 hours every day and I give it the proper nutrients and water it every day lightly,,,I don't like to over water the plant so I give it half the watering it needs daily and she seems to like it,,,at nightime, I open up the bedroom window next to my tent and have a fan directing/blowing that cold winter air from the window into the grow tent and have another fan inside the tent blowing the warmer air out,,depending on how cold it is outside I open the window between half way or fully open depending on how cold it is outside at nite,,because the 1000 watter produces a lot of heat I keep the tent door wide open at night so it doesn't get too hot in there when the light is on,,,the inside of the tent is always at 80/82 degrees which I think is the optimal temperature for growing and flowering, when the light goes out I zip up the tent closed for 12 hours till the light is ready to come back on again,,,,the plant seems to enjoy the fresh air after being zipped up closed for the day,,you can see the plant waking up really fast within moments after the whole thing gets turned on,,,what are your thoughts on this,,has anyone else done the same with the fresh winter air,,,thanks,,Bass3rd:thumbsup:

what are your thoughts on this

I may be teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here, so apologies if this comes across as patronising. In the earlier parts of our planets history the composition of the atmosphere was very different. It contained a much larger proportion of CO2 than it does today (mainly because plants were so good at using CO2 and putting out O2 that they have changed our planets atmosphere) Plants can use 5 times as much CO2 than is available in the air, so airflow is an important factor in good growing. I seem to recall that it is recommended that the air in your grow space is replaced every 5 minutes.
