My red card expired way back in October.
Then I got caught up in the welldocs scandle the slobs at the Health dept. invented.
At what point, if any, would I check new instead of renewal?
Still toying with the idea of another red card.
I've a friend with a tarantula with some good stuff so I really couldn't care less - just curious.
What say?

If you have ever had a red card, it will be a renewal.

And what would the Health dept do if I checked new, sent it in certified retaining the proof, and went to dispensaries and bought meds for 35 days?
Thx

I wouldn't take the risk they could deny the application using Fraud as the deciding factor & if they deny it you are out for 6 months. Of course you could get lucky and they only reject it in which case you would only need to send in a new form.

Well I am about to find out. I applied in 2010 for card in the spring. Got a rejection letter in the fall 2010 due to clerical error by the MMC. I fixed the problem and resent app. I never heard from them again before I unexpectedly had to move in December 2010. I never received a red card from them if it was ever sent and never ever used it. I have sent 4 emails over the past 6 months telling them this and asking if I was approved in 2010 not one response concerning my questions on the matter.
Its been 2 months now and not a word from them cept they havent gotten to my mail yet. I am starting to suspect they are holding my app for further investigation. The doctors office told me to mark new well they marked it not me once i explained the situation.
Any one know with this happening was I ever considered a red card holder IF i never even seen or used the red card or even living in the state at the time? I wish i could get them to give me an answer.

Ironic considering your signature...
I believe I mentioned I really didn't care what the the slobs did...just curious WHAT they'll do
Fraud? I can only hope. Rejection? A wet dream
@Valstar...why don't you call them and find out?

Because they dont answer the phone any more. You have to leave a message and they dont get back with you. I did and nothing. I am starting to think they either dont have an answer or just going to reject and let the paper work speak for them.

On a whim I tried your suggestion again. I guess on weekends they arent busy and you can get through. This is the first time I actually wasnt sent to voicemail.
I got some good news and bad news. My card was approved on Feb 1st. However they sent it to the wrong address. To my old address I lived at 2 years ago. It is not even the address on my new app. Why in the world they sent it to a different address that what is on the applicaiton that I just sent in on Dec 16th 2011 blows my mind.
I got even more bad news too. I now have to wait for the card to be sent back to them or claim it lost or stolen in a few days time. They said that I will have to wait for them to call me in a couple weeks. To talk to some one. Then I have to wait more time for it to be processed then more time for a reprint.
I told them I shouldnt have to wait at all. Its not my fault the person processing my app sent it to an address not even on the application. This is a major F up on thier part and I am the one suffering because some one didnt do their job right and now on top of the 2 months I have been waiting I am looking at least another month. Of course No sympathy from the person on the phone just attitude because she didnt like me complaining about it.
Stress makes my chron's disease worse and I am already throwing up before this happened and cant get relief and losing weight fast. This is just very frustrating.

I woul;d call the governors office and start making phone calls to everyone to complain...sometimes the loudest voice gets heard especially when they screw up.

I didnt call the governors office but I did go to my doctors office and talked with them. I wished I would have done this weeks ago. The office staff ( Jay ) got me in touch with a supervisor today. My card is sitting in a desk drawer waiting to be rejected according to the supervisor. After explaining the situation I find out the rude girl has no clue what she is talking about and did not handle my situation properly. The supervisor made the rude girl do an addendum to my complaint and told her not to reject the card. I did every thing right and its not my fault they sent it to an address thats not even on my application.
My card was approved back on January 18th not Feb 1st like the rude girl told me. It was sent and already returned to them on Feb 1st and was dropped in a drawer on Feb 1st. It appears two people are about to get in trouble especially the person that processed my app for sending it to an address that wasnt even on the application.
The office that sends the cards is closes on weekends so the supervisor did some special flag on my app so the people Monday will see what happend and to mail that card sitting in the drawer to me next week not in a month like the rude girl told me.
I learned a valuable lesson. Dont be afraid to complain and keep doing it when you feel you are not wrong. Ask for a supervisor if you dont like how you are being treated or handled. Hopefully my misfortune will help others in the future and they learn from this. I bet you money they will never mail cards out again to an address thats not even on the application.

I really like valstar's soap opera....but what did you expect when dealing with retarded people? Did you expect them to respond in a sane and rational way?
Any bets on what they'll do if I send in a app checked new when I've already had a card that expired 6 months ago?

They'll approve it, or at least they did for me at the end of December.

Don't bother leaving a message. They will NEVER call back.
Phone:
303-692-2184
Call that number... when the options start coming PRESS 9
you will then go into another system where you press 1 for English and have to enter your zip code.
Once they start offering options [after a long winded recording] PRESS 3 for Medical Marijuana.
The phone will ring and a live person will pick up the phone.
One of our employees had been waiting 5 months to get her card. Once she started calling them DAILY she had her card in 10 days.
When she received it, it was dated for the 5 months ago. Half expired before she could even use it. Fuckers

Odd the doctor didn't ask you if you'd ever had a card before. That was the first thing both doctors asked me when I saw them...

Update: I have called once again and gotten different info that i was told the 2nd time i called. My card was mailed to an address that wasnt even on the application. It was mailed out on Feb 1st to the address not on the application not sent back to them on FEB 1st. They told me there is nothing i can do but wait 30 days and file a lost or stolen paperwork and send it in.
They are actually telling me who ever they sent my card to will do the right thing and send it back in a timely manner. Hmm lets see an apartment an lower income apartment. My chances of getting an honest person that will take the time to send it back. Yeah right like that is going to happen. So I am stuck waiting till march 1st to file more paperwork and wait more time for that to be processed.
By the time its all said and done I will be waiting almost 4 months because the idiot who processed my paperwork sent it to an address not on the application. I have to suffer more and wait more because they screwed up and they wont do a damn thing about it but make me wait more. They dont care they screwed up and seem to be covering for each other down playing down the screw up.
It took 10 months to send my first card that i never received in 2010 and now its taking 4 months to get my second one. The red card sitting in the drawer in denver is the one i never got in 2010 not my new one. This why they are so confused. No one ever looked at the date until the last person I spoke with.
I asked to speak with a supervisor again. They would not transfer me to one. This is telling me they know they screwed up and are covering for who ever messed up. I should not have to wait a day longer. They should reprint my card immediately and send it to me tomorrow is the way I feel about it. Its not my fault they messed up. Yes I am thoroughly pissed now. Sorry for whining as some Im sure will say but this is just not right to treat people like this.

I just received by red card from the health dept*. It was about 6 weeks. My total was $95 doc rec, fee, & notary included. It's all too little, too late for me, though. I don't want anything to do with them*.
Can't wait for valstar's update...
