Ok I have not gotten my seeds yet but this is my first time grow ever..To tell the truth I have never even tried marijuana b4..Im doing this for my mother as she has a disease called scleroderma and I have read plenty of people say that it helps and also will help her sleep at night..ANYWAYS...

I have done allot of research and I know I should do soil first but honestly this sounds easy and fun to do So this is what I have come up with..

I have currently built this DIY Stealth Marijuana Grow Box | 420 Tribune @420Tribune.com (http://420tribune.com/2010/03/diy-stealth-grow-box/) but what im going to do is a DWC..Im going to start off with 1 planet at the time (free seed that came with my order to test) My question is in this setup the have the lights at the very top of the box, from the pictures at the end it shows a good harvest.. Now Im useing 6 100w 6500k bulbs for the veg state. Can i leave these lights at the top or should I rig up something to lower the lights closer to the plants and move the lights up as the plants grow? or just leave it at the very top? It will be hard to rig something up due to the electrical nuts but I can try. O Yah I also have this box lined in foil tape.. ITS BRIGHT!

Also I will be using rockwool along with hydroton pellets. I have read that people germinate right in the rockwool in the dwc with the hydrotion pellets..They keep it covered at first with like a paper plate with no water in the reservoir (dry dark place) untill it sprouts once it sprouts they fill the reservoir with RO water, add nutriants. then check PH level and adjust acorrdingly then put the net pot in to about 1 inch into the water where the rockwool is sitting so the rockwool can soak up some water. Also turn the lights on and leave them on for 18/6..

I have more questions but please let me know if I am on the right track! thanks!

Ooh, this looks tough. Something that a lot of people overlook is water temp. Anytime you have an enclosed grow like this, it makes it hard to control water temps and alter the res if necessary. Someone with more hydro experience can chime in here, I don't know enough about dwc outside of my research.

As far as the lighting goes, those stealth rubbermaids were designed as fixed light structures. Dont mess with the lights, you'll end up burning them on the light bulb surface.

Good Point..I have read that people poke holes in paper plates and put them over the plant so that the heat does not transfer to the pellets and then to the water. I Plan on doing that and covering the plates in foil tape. I also just got off ebay a Digital Water Thermometer to monitor the water temp from what I have read I want to keep the water 68-70 for ideal conditions. Dont forget about the 80mm Fan at the top right above the lights that should suck allot of heat out that those lights produce.
