closet grow (soon to be 400w HPS)

Hey guys, just starting to LST my little girl, the other ended up being male :( but thats ok still have s more seedlings goin :stoned: gonna be getting a cool tube and a new ballast this weekend, but for now im using some flouros from the local hydro shop. here's some pics

what do u think would have better results? lining the walls up and down with flouros or a 400w HPS? the closet is really big, its a walk-in but i just have a 3'x3'x6.5'H area that i sectioned off for a grow area. i will have about 4 plants at a time

I have a 2x4 box, three plants are pretty crowded. They're only about 3 feet tall.

Two plants would be just about right.

Depends on what size you let them get before flowering and how they grow. I have some hybrid strains that grow a lot taller, so I put them outside. They wouldn't fit in the box now, unless I stuffed them in there.

ya, well im using a huge walk-in closet, i just sectioned part of it off and lined the walls with an emergency blanket, i can always make the space bigger, but im not too sure what would work out better... i think i will mix both, ill use the 400W HPS from above and put flouro tubes up and down the sides and see what kind of monsters i can get :jointsmile: i usually flower when the nodes start alternating which with the last 10 or so plants was about 2' tall. i want to maximize my yield as much as possible, with this grow i will be LST'ing like crazy, then next grow ill probably try a scrog grow.

I got my ballast and cool tube!!!!!:jointsmile::jointsmile: just need to make some kind of reflector or way to attach it to one i have without modifying it too much. anyways, check it im super stoked!!!281621

You should look into vertical lighting. Running the cooltube vertically in the middle of your grow space and have the floros on the outside walls. You can position the plants all around the tube and remove the need for a reflector.

That is if you can expand your area like you said...

thats not a bad idea... i already got it on a reflector but i will definitely look in to that cause now i have about 10 T12s and some CFLs just sitting around now. i picked up a 400w MH bulb the other day and it doesnt fit the cool tube, so close but not quite, do u guys know anywhere that sells MH bulbs that are about the same size as HPS bulbs?

hey guys its been 1 week since i started LST training got some great growth, lots of pistils too, I'm probly gonna wait for 2 more weeks and then flower, my plan is to continue LST on this one and top one and FIM the other, hopefully there aren't any males.

any input? constructive criticism? i do have 1 question, i have searched around a bit and im not too sure why its happening but only one of my seedlings is curling its leaves up a little bit, like heat stress, but my temps usually about 79F and about 30-35% RH not too sure why its doing this other than the curling its fine... i have a little clawing on the girl im LSTing but i think its because i may be overfeeding a little bit so im going just molasses water for a couple days to see if it clears up. :jointsmile:
