I was going to go to the doctors my next paycheck, and tell him i have insomnia, back pains and eating disorders. (which i really do). I've been dealing with them for about a year and have been taking over- the counter drugs.. but their not working well anymore, plus side affects. I've never reported this to my doctor, so do i need piror medical history? Or will he right one anyways? Feedback appeciated.

I'd be coo if someone could reply, just if they know if the doc would still prescribe even if i don't have piror medical history.

:jointsmile:I am in CA and sorry I am just seeing this! Sure those are reasons to get it. But, states vary as much as people! I first got mine, I had to send all my medical records to the new doc in the box's office. When I went to renew this year, I took a relative that walked in and out with a req and no records. So, it will depend on the doc, as well. More importantly the State you are in! No, not mental state, one of the 50.

Might want to re-post in the area of your state and see if you get a bite from a local there!

If you have medical insurance, it wouldn't make sense not to see a doctor for what ails you, anyway. Making up pain isn't necessary when you have it and insominia! and taking OTC crap can hurt your gutt!

Next thing you need to start growing your own! :rasta:pr

Insomnia doesn't qualify in CO. Cachexia (rapid weight loss) is a symptom of many eating disorders, and does qualify. Chronic pain certainly qualifies.

That said, there are dozens of scummy docs who will approve anyone for a few dollars. I agree with the previous poster, though; if you have insurance, go see your primary care physician. Even if he won't recommend MMJ, you can use those records to get approved elsewhere.

most primary docs will not sign, unfortunately as they fear for their DEA licenses. I hate to even reccomend anyone anymore as the CDPHE may retroactively make them illegal, and my advice bad.

I do have insurance but the doctor i regullary have is a pretty bad doctor lol. And ya i live in colorado, maybe i could just slap 100$ on the doctors table and call it good. haha

there is one for $75, a DO, in Boulder on 55th (see Boulder Craigslist health and beauty section) I think he's as legit as you can find now. BUT, before seeing any Doc - YOU, Yourself, should find out his name, and call the CDPHE and ask if there are any problems with that practitioner, or if they plan any upcoming changes that could effect the practitioners eligibility to do recommendations. record the call in case they do change their stance while you are in limbo. Colorado is a 1-party call recording state, so its my understanding you don't need to admit you are doing this to them.

am I being paranoid? yea I guess I've been waiting for my card since September, not even a denial yet. Looks like I am forced out of the system for 9 months, and I doubt there is any good reason to have a red card now. I *HAVE* to provide for myself or work with the underground.

Be CAREFUL OUT THERE FOLKS. GET A CAREGIVER. GET SOME LIGHTS, GROW YOUR OWN. YOU CANNOT DEPEND ON THE STATE SYSTEM WITH CARDS AND MMCS IF YOU REALLY NEED MEDS!

My bro told me if you send your info towards the state and they don't do anything in 1 month u can get paperwork and go into a medical despinsrie and still get stuff. and they'll check if it's denied or it's still wating. and that's the only reason i want a med card is so i can grow

I was also going to say i have really bad anxiety, i would say depression but their ify on that cause sometimes medical marijuana worsens depression. Also ADHD, but i'm sure they'll just throw some aderall at ya haha

none of those conditions counts.

here are the only conditions for which they will issue you a card.

Cancer
Glaucoma
HIV or AIDS positive
OR ..

The patient has a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition that produces one or more of the
following and which, in the physicianâ??s professional opinion, may be alleviated by the medical use of
marijuana.

Cachexia
Persistent muscle spasms
Seizures
Severe nausea
Severe pain

Since the Medical Marijuana Registry Program began in 2001, no new conditions have been added.

most cards are issued for chronic pain.

Once you mail your application you can use your proof of mailing, doctor's rec, application, and ID to purchase at a dispensary for up to 35 days. After 35 days have elapsed you can no longer go to a dispensary until your actual red card arrives from CDPHE.

This directive from the Department of Revenue to Dispensaries is in conflict with the Colorado Constitution which states that you are deemed approved after 35 days of waiting and not receiving a red card.

Most MMJ specific doctors clinics will write a rec without documented medical history if you have chronic pain.

I mean i can say i have chronic pain, but their is little physical evidence of such.. unless i just roll up their in a wheel-chair... kinda messed up but would be funny as hell. And i could say i hurt my back and have mucle spasims as well as chronic pain and cacheixa. To be honest i just want a medical card to grow, i don't have any serious medical conditions condoning so.

then you could consider being a caregiver. If you don't have a condition and end up in court, the card may be useless in your defense.

We'll i don't see how i'd end up in court. It's like trying to buy a pack of cigareetes if your 18. if you don't have your id they just say no, they don't really make a big fuss about it. And if i did go to court how would the judge prove that i don't have insomnia, anrexia, chronic pain? they'd have no evidence proving i don't have these symptoms. People have gotten medical cards for saying they have migrans. pretty sure my excuse will work somewhat.

you said you wanted to grow, right? THAT is how you end up in court and falsified info bight you in the ass.

If you are just a patient, holding personal under 2 ozs, not a big worry.

If you are in Denver looking for a doctor, we recommend a local pain management office with board certified physicians that will sit down with you and talk about using MMJ for your pain.

If you aren't making the pain up, then you have nothing to worry about. They do not require medical records, but they do help.

Here is a link to our page with information about obtaining your card.

If you have any questions, need a notary, or anything else, don't hesitate to call us at 303.420.MEDS or visit us at 1 Broadway.

We've been doing this a while and will do everything we can to make sure the process is safe, easy, and legal.

Ya i want to grow but with a medical lisence it's legal. And to be honest i'm not really in pain. I do have really teribble insomnia though, and anxiety, as well as eating disorders. I heard you can get one for insomnia alone.
