So about three days ago I went to my friends house in the morning and took one HUGE hit of northern lights weed. I'm a beginner so I didn't know if I was doing it right or wrong.. but I've smoked before and what happened this time has never even come close to happening before. I got this huge pressure on my head and my vision started to blurr.. everything was going super slow. I freaked out and my heart started racing and I felt like I was gonna black out many many times. The more I freaked out the worse it got.. I seriously felt like I was gonna die. I got in the bath, layed in bed, then finally got the strength to walk back to the car and go home. It's been three days since that and although I don't feel like I'm gonna black out.. I get dizzy from time to time and my eyesight is still blurry, it hasn't come back and I'm terrified it won't. I had these thoughts before like this is all a dream and that maybe I'm not really here. Those are kind of gone.. but it's mainly my eyesight im worried about. Please tell me everything is fine and this has happened to some of you!

Northern Lights can be a strong strain if grown correctly.
Sounds like you had a big anxiety attack. It happens to all of us at sometime. I had a bad one with a new strain about a year ago. The important thing is to always remember that cannabis is harmless, it will not and can not kill you or hurt you in any way. You just smoked a very good strain that you were probably weren't ready for the effects.
I would just take it easy with some of the more powerful strains till you are more acclimated to there effects.

It was probably just some good stuff. If you are GOOD friends with someone who smokes chances are you're not a beginner. So that being said I think its safe to assume you dont know this person all that well and whatever you smoked could have been laced with something else. Too many factors and not enough information.

But in regards to my eyesight.. Is it normal to still have blurred vision and dizziness ? Im worried it's permanent

:wtf:Blurred vision and dizziness days after toking? No way is that normal. What else did you do that day? Or days before? What have you done since? Get any sleep? You may need to sleep it off! Have you ever had your vision checked?
Driving while dizzy and blurred vision, not o.k! Any headache? Could be a number of things unrelated to pot!
:what:The vision & dizziness, could be a sign of other things. Like already said, "not enough information!" Could be you are more aware of what is going on with your body right now and you already had it to some degree!
Sometimes at certain ages, some disease/illness surface. Not saying you have a disease or illness here! But, there is a possibility! When was your last physical? Ever had anything remotely like this independently of each other? If it persists, I would go to my Doc! Depending on your relationship with your doc, it is best to be honest! However, he/she will blame pot for this if they do not know what it is. It is not the weed! Either way, go get it checked out and if you don't get resolution go to a different doc!
:detective1:These symptoms can be something more serious and need medical attention! Is it getting worse? Too risky not to seek medical attention!
:(So Sorry, can't be more of help to you and I did not see this here sooner! pr

I disagree. I smoke a fair amount(3 to 4 ounces a month) and use edibles regularly. I too get bleary eyed and a little dizzy from time to time, mainly in the morning. I think thats a normal side effect of imbiding some good herb.
As far as sharing this information with your regular doctor it might not do much good. Because of the nature of cannabis research the vast majority of doctors are not going to have the scientific research available to make a medical decision on the possible effects of cannabis and are likely to just blame it on the cannabis so that they don't look stupid. Its rare for a doctor to just admit that they don't know.

it think it was the weed you smoked and the state of mind you were in.....but i am not a professional anything....as for your vision and over all health go see a doctor.....but its up to you to tell em that you smoked, they are suppose to keep it all a secret. but hey i hope you feel better...one love

doubt it had anything to do with bud, this time of year stomach flu, inner ear probs and sinus issues are all common and can cause blurry vision and vertigo

Is it true that some people are allergic to cannabis? Someone told me that one day but they said it was very rare.

there are no documented cases, because the strains varies so much and finding someone allergic to a specific strain will be hard but sure it will happen once prohibition is lifted. So far everything is anecdotal.

I agree with everybody who will say it was the state of mind u were in. Also, u said it was morning, I feel higher when I smoke earlier in the day.
Pressure in your head can come from u holding your breath in all crazy like, and the blurred vision could have been smoke in ur eyes from the significantly large hit you said u took. If you are looking to use cannabis more often, I would ease into it. Try it in an eddible or later in the evening, and I wouldn't reccommend hitting as hard if u smoke it again. Hehe. I think u need to relax and stop assuming ur having an allergic reaction, and freaking youself out. its all good, and theres no reason to be nervous about it. Is would be more apprehensive about hitting ur ciggarette, lol. As far as ppl around u noticing, if ur gonna do it, ur gonna do it. If u got ppl on ur back, cover ur bases before u get home. Gum, chapstick, lotion, and eyedrops. ( rub your freshly lotioned hands through ur hair for.the smell if ur famale)
I do this so I don't feel awkward in public about the smell. I'm more confident thinking I smell good too...;)
Idk.what else to say, accept smoking miht not be the best way for your body to process the weed. Like i said, u might get a more laid back feel if you ate it. ;)
Hope this helps and good luck!!

Weird thing is that' it's been 5 days and my eye sight is still blurry. I know it is a result or whatever it is I smoked.. I did it out of a gravity bong which I hear is straight up tcp..I'm hoping my 20/20 vision comes back.. But I'd say it's gotten a little better. Im still pretty sensitive to light!

Hmm I think it's my vision that makes me dizzy, but I'm definitely not as dizzy as a few days ago!

You are probably right about that! Have you been resting well-sleep? It is highly unlikely that the bud caused the vision problem. Not knowing your age, etc. Having vision problems simply is not a side-effect of cannabis. You have allergies? I use cannabis for allergies! However, I do use some OTC stuff for them at times! And it is possible to be allergic to anything! Some are even allergic to the medicine given for allergy probs!
Vision, normally goes 'slowly' over years! Inner ear problems are more likely to cause being dizzy! You may need some OTC meds. Feel pressure in your ears? Even if you don't, it is highly probable! Most likely this will get this nuked (cause we aren't allowed to mention names of meds on the Forum), but I prefer CVS (store) store brand of Actifed (anti-histamine, as it is the only place I can find it and a number of others things do the same!). I'd try it and see if that helps! The fact you can read this is a good sign, it is most likely not serious. A visit to the doc would clear it this up asap! I don't tinker with my vision, as you only get one set of eyes! Don't mess with your vision!
My vision gets a little 'burred' due to allergy! Apparently, your vision is normally better than 20/20, which is highly probable!

Light sensitivity is more common with "drug" use and not mmj!

I'm 17 years old.. I came clean to my parents and luckily they are really chill about it. My dad continuously tells me everything will get back to normal.. So im pretty hopeful. Idk, I'm pretty sure the weed gave me a bad reaction. I know it's unheard of.. But idk what else this could be. However, even though it's been five days.. Idk how it could be permanent.

Wish I had had your parents!
The only way it will not go back to normal is if you need glasses or it is, as said, allergy related (and even that will pass)! However, it is most likely not the pot! Doesn't really sound like a 'Bad' reaction. Sounds more like a good healthy dose to me!
I was your age when I realized I needed to have my eyes checked! The pot I used was only incidental to making me realize I had astigmatism (not a bad thing). However, I would not rule out allergy from the air quality and pollen! I live in South. CA and it is windy here, gives me a few probs if I don't medicate!
Being able to read this is most likely 20/20! You can have other issues that are causing this problem! Runny eyes? pr

Honestly sounds like you have yourself worked up over smoking maybe a little hypochondria? Maybe have yourself talked into believing the hype?
