View Full Version : will i be able to smoke again

hey , ok well i just started smoking 1 month ago , and the first 7 times where crip. on the 3rd time, is when i first got realy high. then the next 4 times i smoked the same amount but did not get as high.
then my 8th time smoking i smoked midds(for the first time), i was fine at first then i got up off the couch, and felt weird and had de realazation. when i woke up the next day it was gone but i still did not feel right for the next week or so. now i feel ok. and i want to smoke again, but im afraid it will happen again. now i think the dr and dp where from a panic attac, that i got from a head rush when i stood up quick, well at least thats what i think. so what i want to knnow is , how/what can i smoke to avoid this , and should i avoid midds , or what ??? please help and thank you st stretch

:jointsmile:It would be my guess, that whatever you felt for a week after, had nothing to do with the weed! What else is going on in your life? It may just be a coincidence? It could also be, you became more aware of your surroundings. It would be difficult to really answer your question.

:420thought:You may have been using sativa's and the mids were more indica, giving you a 'couch-lock' like feel. Allowing you to relax, heavy! You may have been in need of a great nights sleep. The sleep allowed you to become more aware of your situation. Whatever happened after you woke up, didn't have anything to do with the smoke. It may have allowed you to feel things you haven't! I could take guess's on this for a long long time.

I am not sure what dr and dp stand for, but I have not heard a clear representation of a panic attack either!

Often, it is my belief, that we find pot and it tends to treat a pre-existing problem. Once, we feel better we know better! How to handle our personal lives. It is possible you are medicating and getting stoned!:rasta: If you want to avoid that, take rests between each inhalation! :rastasmoke: pr

hey painretreat, thanks. and well to answer your questions, dp and dr stand for depersonilzation and derealization. 2 i started smoking because i have a lot off tings going on, like a bad family life, lost our house and all this other crap.
and also the "panic attack", well what happend was when i was on the couch i was talking to a friend , and every thing was cool. then they got up and said we where going for a ride and when i got up i felt spacy and my depth perseption was off. and it was like i was see in every thing from a third person,,, (also my dad got dp when he was my age when he smoked, so i knew alot abuot it) so i started thinking i was getting that , and i was freaking out , i was sweaty and my heart was racing. and nothing felt real, untill well i fell asleep

If you're on any phsycoactive prescription drugs like wellbutrin or zoloft or some of the others, use caution when smoking herb. If you're taking the prescription drugs it usually means you have a brain chemistry problem and cannabis could be affecting those other drugs negatively. Use the cannabis sparingly till you have diagnosed the effects it has on you and whther those are positive or negative effects. Not everyone can tolerate some of the potent strains of cannabis strains that are available now. One strain might work perfectly well on you and another might really kick the anxiety levels up.

killer weed 420 thanks but no i am or was not on any other drugs at all, ps do you think if i went back to crip ill be ok since i hade no problems with it the first time

:jointsmile:Hi stretch, sorry I couldn't get a post in earlier! I would go back to what you know works. Especially during stressful times. And to say the least, this is a very stressful time of the year for most and more for YOU! :wtf:You have been through some of the roughest times possible. Sorry, I implied there may be use of other medication and the others ran with it! Just didn't want you to mix some liquid stuff or other meds with it.

From your second report, I can see that all this is more stress related for you! Hopefully, life will get easier, can't get too much worse!

I see nothing here that would indicate you are having anything to be 'medically' concerned about!

Sometimes our brain brings on some things we fear most! You feared having the same 'bad' reaction your dad did and tried hard to. But, it didn't sound like you were very successful at it! Panic Attack sounds fairly mild. Many threads in here of a bunch of 'um!

Keep your pals near, they did not panic and helped you through it.

I get a feeling, like you described with the Purple Urkle I have. I use it most when I really want to sleep. Your mid-grade sounds like my Hi-grade! Please pass me a joint?

More than not, it is most likely dose related. 5 tokes will knock me into a deep sleep. 2 or 3 simply won't do. I feel that 'light' feeling and then I am asleeeeeep for the count! You may want to re-visit it for medicating to sleep. Take it slow and longer intervals. While you are stressed in life, you need to stick with what you know works for the experience you desire! Hope this all helps!

I would shy away from sativa's unless you really need a great lift. Plus, I would go into the archives and read some other stories here regarding similar issues. You have lots of company! At times we are more sensitive. It is my belief, that our life events will effect any medication and our reaction to it! Which is why I suspected there was something serious going on in your life! pr thank you very much for your help/advice, and i realized the dose i realy had, because when i smoked the crip over and over i needed more and more to get high, so when i smoked the midds i took 10 to 11 tokes :stoned: lol, so ones again thank you very much, and happy holidays

Hi stretch, ;)sorry I've had a busy day!
I am sure many can chime in here. Smoke the 'crip' or Stop smoking the herb before you feel that way! Most likely you will need to "get out of your head" so to speak. You have experienced a great deal of stress and that makes one pretty 'up tight!' The herb is taking the pressure of real life off of you.:jointsmile: You found it for a reason, you need it! You need to tell yourself, "This is not going to hurt or harm me". :)Others here, with the same thing have advised: simply talk yourself out of it! And go with it! You may feel a more rapid heartbeat, most of us do from time to time, it goes away. Nor will it make you do stupid things. I've only done stupid things when I use the OTC liquid stuff with it!:rasta: It was never the pot! And I have done some really dumb-ass things! You don't need to and you will not with simply the herb. Regulate your dose! If you stop after half the dose and wait for about 20 min. or so and check yourself out! Count your fingers and toes, focus on something else. Do not focus on your problems or what you think it may do to you-cause most likely you are talking yourself into the symptoms of your dad's, you 'need a break' from your problems and relax. You can talk yourself out of a panic attack! The more you worry about it the more apt you are to have one!

I don't know these strains, but I am sure the 'crip' is much safer for you!:rastasmoke: I am thinking you are getting more 'Indica' with the mid-grade. It gives more of the feeling you are describing. If u r not use to it, you can feel dp and dr. (a total body and slight head hi) I find that a good thing. If you don't, stay away from it! The fact you remained that way for a week is re-training yourself to handle your own life in a calmer way. Sometimes we accidently find what we need for that period of time! You may never want that again! It gave you a much needed break from things. However, you do not need to over-think it all. Just thinking and focusing on a panic attack can give you one!

Many with this problem have been able to find the right strain and dose! You will need to do the same. Experiment with your pals and thank the heavens and friends they didn't dump you off in an ER parking lot.

You may find, getting Hi is not your ultimate goal. Medicating carefully is! Even when you don't feel high, you will feel calmer. Go with that and start there!

Hoping your Holidays are Greener and Greener throughout the years, starting with this one! I do hope you are eventually in a place you can grow and cure your own and control any 'variables' for the quality you need! You do deserve this medication and need it!:rasta:

Unfamiliar with the strain crip. If its sativa dominant that could be your problem. Sativa's really go for your head. You might want to try a nice mellow indica dominant strain and see how you react. Cannabis is the same as any prescription drug in that what works for one person may not work for another. Thats why there are so many prescription drugs that are supposed to do the same thing. There are a lot of variations in effects of the different strains of cannabis just as there a lot of variations in the taste and smell.
