i think you will be just fine too.
The plants wont even show their sexes for a week or 2 anyway. I got some good advice today which was, don't count the weeks of your bloom from when you change the light cycle, count from when you see the pistils (white hairs). I am using a 190w LED and just 4 x 20w CFL. The CFL are only in the tent to keep the temperature up. The LED light can be switched between light spectrum, bloom (red), veg (white), and both on together. At the start during seedling stage I had only the veg spectrum on for a week or 2. Then I switched to full spectrum (both red and white) and I haven't changed that since.
I am 2 weeks into bloom (since seeing pistils) and I will leave the full spectrum on until the final 3 weeks or so of bloom. Then I will just let the red spectrum run with the 4 x 20w, 2700k CFLs. So to answer your question, I think it's good to have some blue mixed in with the red spectrum during bloom, but you dont have to, thats just my preference but it doesnt hurt.. I could get a 1000w sodium vapour off a friend if I wanted to boost the bloom but I want to test the LED light so I can see what results it can bring. So far it's looking great.

How do you have preflowers if you have not sexxed them? Put them under 12/12 light to find out wheather they are male or female. Only an autoflower from seed is going to show preflowers. From my seed ventures. So.. Have you sexxed them before vegging again?

I would like to share an excerpt from High Times, August 25th:
"Plants grown indoors under lights spend the first stage of their lives receiving 18 to 24 hours of light per day. This vegetative period, simulating summertime, allows seedlings to establish the healthy roots, branches and foliar growth necessary for higher yields down the road. Some growers vegetate plants for more than a month in order to grow huge bushes in large containers. Sea of Green growers limit this vegetative time to just a week or less, but compensate by growing more plants and spacing them closer together. Either way, a plant will continue to grow in its vegetative state until it is triggered to flower.
The flowering process for both males and females begins when plants are exposed to complete darkness for 12 or more continuous hours per day. Indoors, the photoperiod is controlled by the grower, who sets the timer for a 12-hour on/12-hour off daily lighting schedule; outdoors, the sun’s diminishing rays in early autumn force cannabis to bloom. Flowers will begin to indicate gender after a week or two into the flowering cycle. Indicas will show sex sooner than sativas, so be patient with the longer-flowering varieties."
So, I have to side with GA here, unless your plants are auto-flowering they shouldn't have shown sex unless they were environmentally stressed in some way eg: light seapage during dark cycle, overally root-bound, etc. But even then they would predominately produce male flowers and pollen that would carry hermaphroditic tendencies. Also, if every plant autoflowered in vegative cycle it wouldn't be possible to maintain a mother plant for cloning.

Things happen to a plant if it's stressed. When you go from veg to flower... You have induced a stress that will trigger flower production. 18/6 won't do it. 16/8 and 14/10 have ill affects on Jack Herer. It'll flower when you ain't wantin' it to. Thats not an auto flower either.. The higher ratio of sativa versus indica is the reason behind that. It's used to the longer days before flowering. Most sativas are that way..

It hasn't had any stress. The dark period has always been fully dark. This is my first grow and I was confusen as ithe lights were always on for 18/6 I posted on another site and a lot of people where telling me that its female and should show signs of sex soon becoz I veged it long enoug thenn I did see the pistels appear.

'Kidney' there are thing to look for during the veg cycle too. First when you see the branching patten go from 'dipoildal' ( two branches coming from the same level of the stock, to 'monploidial', you should just be into the preflowering stage, its where these branches attach to the main stem that preflowers will show first. Either male or female, but they will show. This is supposing that they are on the 12/12 cycle too. 'Gagrown' has a good point in that for instance the stain of the plant can have a direct effect on how much light stress/change it can take before it induces it to flower and or hermenize.
