ok so i've been smoking for about 2 years and at first i could get stoned out of my mind in like 2 hits but now it takes me more than a gram of good chronic to get me high. does anyone know how to get your tolerance down without quitting for a long time?

Time without is the only way I've found to get the desired results with less....
Or you can look at concentrates....wax, BHO, Hash, etc....

You have to smoke less. Take a few days off each week and your tolerance will fall. Smoke every other day, or only on weekends. You can also lower it by smoking daily in smaller amounts- perhaps only a hit or two before dinner or bed.

Iv smoked 30 years and get blown away when i want. Just when ya smoke, smoke early then wait till your buzz is gone and some, plus ya dont need but a couple three good hits first buzz. But then give yourself time before smoking again. Ever notice the first buzz of the day gets ya ripped, well 9-10 hours later will give ya close to the same, but i smoke a bit more as its my relax time and when it helps my pain the best.

Remember that your brain is setting baselines for how many endocannibinoids (our body's internal cannabinoids) it needs to produce to keep everything functioning normally.
When you smoke, vaporize, or ingest cannabis your body gets a sudden boost in cannabinoids giving you the feeling of being high, but your body reacts by producing less of its own cannabinoids. The result is the faded, fuzzy feeling that constitutes a cannabis 'hangover' after the high.
Allowing your body's endocannabinoid system regain balance by not smoking or ingesting for a time you can achieve the same 'high' as your first time.
Flooding your body over and over again will eventually build up cannabinoids in your system to the point where more wont do as much, but you will feel the need to smoke or ingest to maintain a baseline for your brain to feel like it is functioning normally. Your body will have considerably slowed its own production of endocannabinoids.
Not really an answer for how to get your tolerance lower, but why your tolerance gets high (no pun intended) in the first place.

exercise and sweat a lot....dont smoke so much in the wake and bake session and wait as long as you can before you smoke again. if youre like me thats like in an hour, but thats me.......also your diet.......if you smoke on an empty stomach u will get higher.....dont eat when you get the munchies as that will bring you down.....smoke out of a vape, if not, then bong, if not then joint, and last a bowl if thats what u got.....i put in that order because it goes from highest thc content for the method used......if all this seems like bunk then try concentrates or edibles
