Doctor signed recommendation few questions.

My doctor signed my recommendation and I mailed it in on the 19th of November. I have a few questions on when I am able to grow or possess and be protected by law. I've read a few different things on the time frame; Some people say when I have the I.D and others say 35 days if no I.D. Does RI have a protection clause for people with signed recommendations?

I also would like to ask if the 2.5 oz limit is total or while traveling. I ask because the 12 plant limit would be nonsense if your only allowed to have 2.5 of yield, since you can pull 2-5 ozs from one plant.

Y'know, I owndered that m'seff and after a bit o' research determined that, in RI, the 2.5 ounce is the limit holds and 24 plants is to allow for folks who want to use SOG/Sea Of Green grow technique and or to allow a continuous yielding harvest. SOG generally uses the space efficiently but yields small budz...
