I.got.a.small g.d.purple clipping from my homie.so I decided to.clone.it ( or at leatst attempt to). I got my cloning hormones, my water, my razor blade, my dirt, and of course my beer. ;) I cut.the.lower fan leaves off the clipping leaving the.stem bare. I then cut a 45 degree angle about halfway up the stem, after that, I put a slit in the stem. Starting at the longest part of the tip and splitting the stem about a sixteenth of an inch up. Then I dipped the tip in in water, then hormone, being careful to shake off the excess powder. Them I stuck it in my dirt medium. I've done clones before but it wasn't off such a bushy plant. Lol
Here's some pics...;)

Looks like you went about the right steps.... Some advice....don't soak the soil....only give about an ounce of water at a time....and do the weight comparison check to determine moisture in soil....

There's lots of cloning methods.... My favorite is the bubble cloner.... You can make one yourself for fairly cheap and the results are effing awesome.... Or you can dish out some cash for a turbo cloner....but they give the same results in the end (roots).... You seem to be a bit handy so I'm sure you can make a bubbler if you wanted....

Keep us updated....GDP is a  strain........

Here's an even better and cheaper system using an ice tube tray from walmart: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=42847

Ok, so the soil I baught for this I think I need to mix. The water keeps rolling right off the top! Gargh! I read something about perlite in the book. Something about not having enough oxigen in the soil, so you mix some perlite in it and the oxigen moliqules stick to that and the water will seep down into my dirt. Whats the ratio of soil to perlite? Do I even need to do that because I thaught my soil was good to go. Its foxfarm in the yellow bag. ;? :stoned: if I shoulda been mixing this.whole time, I.got some work to.do... *sigh*
Somebody plz tell me I dont need to mix them(I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to) ...

All you gotta do is move the topsoil around a bit and the water won't run off.... I run my fingers over top soil about once or twice a week....

There is an old thread in late 2008 or early 2009 from stinky attic about perlite. I can't seem to find it. But, it may be informative for your future, if you can find it. Sorry, I don't have much patience hunting for stuff here. I just remember it fairly well. However, I do believe you are getting really good advice from experienced growers!

bb that link to IC for clones-it is hard, for some reason to pull it up in short order, so I gave up on it!

How are the clones TODAY? alive or dry? pr
