Hey everyone i got some sort of super bugs on my plants. not sure if they are aphids or spider mites but i do know that a 12 ounce bottle filled with 1-2% neem oil, 1-2% dish soap, 1-2% cooking oil, or sesame seed oil. Will not kill them been spraying for the last 2-3 weeks every 3-5 days. Ill spray, then the next day i see them chilln on the tops and bottom of the leafs. Ive had a bad experience with concentrated neem oil, following the directions sometimes is not a good thing. Sprayed my last grow with the neem oil as the directions said to and the stuff raped my leafs and i got next to near nothing on my plant cause there were no leafs left to grow my buds lol. So what am i doing wrong??? i dont want to use to much neem cause i dont want to own the leafs again. Ive kept the grow area free of debris and fallen leafs fearing there are eggs and what not stuck to them. Only thing i can think of that i havent done is drench the roots with something maybe they are root aphids but then idk why they would be on the leafs but idk maybe this is something root aphids do? what else can i do to try and kill these suckers with out spending a insane amount of money!?!?! Thanks for any feed back :D P.S. the bugs are so tiny i cant even tell what they.

You either use the dish soap or the oil... The soap is an emulsifier for the neem like protek. I've never used cooking oil. Take one of those pump up sprayers and blast them off rhen let them recover. Spray with neem again. What stage are you in? Veg,flower?

im in veg but they are getting big and i want to get rid of the bug problem b4 i flower. you think i should rotate the spraying like spray with neem oil once then 3-5 days later spray with soap? or should i just do soap the entire time or just use neem the entire time?

Hot shot no pest strips are the bomb using them for years no bugs or side effect from smoking products with strips hanging in the growroom.

You mix the soap with the neem after you heat the neem up enough to pour it.It mixes better when warmed. The soap is an additive to break down the neem so it can be used.

bobjob4u has a better solution for you at this time in the game. Get 3 or 4 of them. Hang every damn one of them in there!

Dude,n ot to be rude but if you want to end the problem asap. Then go to lowes and get a hotshot no pest strip.Home depot has them too.So does wal-mart i think. They are 6.58 here where i live. One will work , but two will be better. Within 12 hour probaly sooner you will have drove all them pest out the door. With no mess of neem oil and mix and spraying soap. After pest are gone take second no pest strip down and put it in a zip lock bag for later use. One is only needed to keep them out. There are instructions on the back of the packaged that tells you how many sqaure feet it will repell bugs.I had the same problem once i tried to use soaps and neem oil, garlic all that crap and all i did is allow more time for bugs to reproduce. Got the no pest strips and havent seen a bug fo 3 years. Best 6.58 i ever spent for pest control.

Shouldnt be a bad deal wanted to do it anyways cause it gets chilly at night and i'm hope'n it will bring out the purp's in this sour grape strain!

Hey painretreat, This is unrelated but I couldn't figure out a different way to answer your question about the camera. It's a Nikon D7000. Lens-wise, any lens would do with a close-up lens which mounts on top of the regular lens. The best option would be to use a macro lens but I can't afford them.

Not after clunking down the $$ for that D7000. Nice camera!

I see you mentioned the warning you read on the back of the package, about not using in a room that is regulary occupied.I have had no problems with them most people dont live in thier grow rooms. Also after bugs are gone. I take the strip and place a sandwhich bag over it. Maybe put one slice on the front and back of bag. Kinda lowers the strength in the room,to keep it safe for the times there is human contact with them in the growroom. But also is strong enough to keep out pest. Like i mentioned before i have been using for 5 years and no problems.
