Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on my situation. When I applied to the registry I checked self as provider. My card has patient on one side and provider on the other. I grow 3 plants a year and come harvest time I have an excess of pot. Two questions, first do I get to keep 2oz. for use and 2 ozs as a reserve, being my own provider, and second can I give the extra pot to other patients.

You can definitely give it to other legal patients.
As far has having excess on hand, it isn't strictly allowed in the law so you might have to go to court to defend having over 2oz, but if you prove medical necessity, (as in the case of Jason Lauve who had several pounds of medicine returned to him), you can have more than 2oz, but will have to deal with the headache if Law Enforcement finds it.
Could be a risk worth taking, though you should consult a lawyer. This is not legal advice.
If you know of other patients who don't have a caregiver and will sign you up as theirs, you could have up to 2oz/3 mature plants for every patient up to 5 patients.
