Just found another seed. It came from a bud in my ounce that I have. This is my second ounce that I found a seed in. The last one came from an ounce of an unknown weed. It was dro for sure, had a very compact bud and was.almost lime green in color. I've germinated it and its now growing very healthy. This ounce was also unknown but it was a beautiful deep purple. However before I germinate I was wondering: will I get different results than person who grew the ounce I have? Because honestly I was dissapointed in the quality. It wasn't at all potent. You would think being such a pretty bud it woulda put out a little better...lol but if it was grown differently, does it have the potential to be some killer??

Everything I have read about purple weed....it's not all that good.

Seed banks like to sell it to the suckers.

Agreed. However, if it is the only seed you have and the smoke isn't too bad, may wanna grow it! Or hope for better seed in next bag! I haven't been real happy with commercial purples, but have yet to try them all! Which is certainly my goal! pr

hey just my 2 cent. the seed you found in your weed may not be the best weed,but you could always try and better it. alot of people(me included)havent mastered to get the full potential out of the plant they are growing and most of the time i am sure that you could make improvements.even the way it dried cured and HANDLED in between these stages matters in my experience.a ounce of nice bud on a hot sommers day in your mates backpocket, or even worse in a window, will decrease quality. saying that you allways wanna start with good genes,to get best result.
i got 40 seed of a friend he got in some weed,out of 40 20 germinated(SOME COULD BE MY FAULT) 15 survived to flowering 7 turned female andTWO HERMIED AND POLLINATED EVERYTHING...... this is one year ago but still bothers me, but lesson well learned.

I know the seeds good cuz its about six inches tall. But my question was is it a natural prple strain, or was it stressed out and turned prple....

sounds like brick weed seeds, which are diverse in their tendencies. 40 seeds and only seven female...hmmmm...brick weed, and thats pretty good. buy from good scources and then bitch:stoned:

seeds will express different variations, unless stabilaized...even then you could get variations. purple has nothing to do with potency. i would expect that you could get a stable plant but would not count on it. further stray seeds can be quite hermie prone, thus any stress on the plant will unleash any hermie traits. they can however grow into a nice plant if given the chance, bad traits unwilling. if you have the room and financial means try it out and see. my experience is that most are hermie prone in less than semi perfect gardens. anymore i dont waste time on it, focus on whats important to you. purple colors are mostly genetics but can be brought out by cooler temps and/or organics. try addressing subcool/jilly about their methods for colors and taste. other than that it is hit and miss. good luck prettygirl. even clones will vary based on the grower.

I doubt very much they are hermies or will turn to hermies, as they have already been through some stress. One of the first ones I found and planted. The runt plant, so to speak, of all three of my initial ones, is in a dwc set up and is double the size of both the other seedlings now. No hermie issues with that one yet either, and it got the worse of the stress....from the transplant from dirt to rockwool so late....
The other plants are doing great as well.
As far as the seed from the purp....its got its fith set of leaves, tall and lanky so far, not lookin like my preffered indicas....
When do signs of hermie-issues appear?
Only during flower?
Or could I tell sometime before that?
