You can but you can end up with hot spots too. Usually its better if you can just paint the wall a good semi gloss white.

tin foil actually takes away the energy from the light meaning your plant doesn't recieve as much energy to grow and produce a bigger yeild with higher potency.. Paint the walls of the grow room plain white, or an even cheaper way is put up plain white paper sheets on the walls. good luck :thumbsup:

The question isn't can you use it, the question is should you use it. And the answer is no you should not. Flat or semigloss white paint will do you almost as good as any shiny product you can buy.

i think those emergency blankets they sell at Wally world in the camping section are mylar, there probably fairly cheap.

Home Depot also sells a product call reflectix or something like that. Same principle but save the $$ and just use white paint.

Been doing my own lil experimentation,... the tissue paper you get in a gift box , well the local hobbie/craft store sells this tissue paper in silver foil, and gold. I use 24" dome light covers and 300w cfls , well I sprayed tack on the edge and draped this foil tissue down from it, it took 3 sheets to wrap it. So far I am pleased with the results. They get light penetration all thru to bottom. I have 2 plants under silver almost finished and 3 under gold in veg. The gold is working great on a kush plant in veg with great growth . With the lights on under the dome I can see my plants for the foil tissue is more like a window tint, and when the lights are off the plant can't be seen thus putting her into darkness. I post on Flickr under bayou bud 2011 .I'm happy with these results and plan to continue till disaster strikes lol
