Hello. I am going to be starting a little grow tent. The choices I have are 8ft x 4ft x 6.5ft and
6.5ft x 6.5ft x 6.5ft. I will be using a dwc/ Drip system with as many as 6 large pots. The lighting will be 1000w HPS/MH vented hood. Which size is better for the first time grower? And should I go with cfm or HPS/MH lighting?. How many plants could I grow comfortably in both sizes of tents?

6.5ft x 6.5ft x 6.5ft. ----Assuming the 8' is the height for one that was mentioned, I'd go with that....because head room is always great to have and you can raise/lower your lamp for proper plant to lamp spacing....

I will be using a dwc/ Drip system with as many as 6 large pots. The lighting will be 1000w HPS/MH vented hood. Which size is better for the first time grower? ----As long as you can control the temps, a 1k is good....600w would be ok as well....


And should I go with cfm or HPS/MH lighting? ----Did you mean CFL or HID??? If so, HID if temps aren't a prob....


How many plants could I grow comfortably in both sizes of tents? ----This is one of those questions that you will have to do trial runs to find out how many you can fit......

bobula, there are some threads in the archives on this topic. Some very detailed ones by a former moderator called "Stinky Attic' - you may want to dig those up and read a lot.
