There is so much info it's confusing. I just want to grow a few plants to smoke I have the seeds. I'm going to grow maybe three plants. I have cfl's but I want the most bud for the least amount of electricity. I would use 400 w hps if it's the best. I have been seeing ufo leds saying they are better though. I will start with cfl's because I already bought them, but do leds work? Is hps the best? If anybody could give me a simple list with soil that'd be cool too just make a list of things to buy and I'll use that.

You should check out my grow.
Im using 4 x 20w CFL just for heat and a Pro-Grow 260.
So far the LED has blown me away. It cost $400 dollars but it uses only 180w and give off almost zero heat.
You can also switch between spectrum so in veg you use only 80watts for the first 3 weeks.
I turn on both spectrum then and leave them both on. I read that it is good to put it in just the bloom spectrum for the last 3 weeks of bloom.
I created a grow log to show what it can do. This is my third grow in my entire life. I used HId before but I got bad results.
Have a look here and see what you think: LED LOGGER (http://ledlogger.wordpress.com/)
I'm not advising you to buy it just yet as I havent bloomed yet. But the veg stage was outstanding.
I will be blooming in 5 days.
I wouldnt buy some chinese crap off the internet to be honest. You really dont know what you are getting.
For the extra bit of cash you can get a reputable LED light.
This guy offers free postage worldwide and a 2 or 3 year warranty.
Have a read of my log and make you decisions maybe after I bloom.
There is a link on my blog spot to medical mj or something like that.
Its an awesome site which put the Pro-Grow to the test.
Hope this helps.
