question about topping plants??

When you top ur plant is it best to tie the two top colas together when they get bigger so they dont grow outwards and weigh the plant down???

Whenever your plant gets top heavy, you will need to give it support. Two common ways are tying them up generally from a point higher such as the ceiling, or with a tall stick. By tying two top colas together, I'm afraid you are not helping at all, since it will give less light between them.
