I just stuck my seedlings in cut in half two leter bottles. I'm getting a lot of feedback saying that the roots need to be In complete darkness. I never heard that and was curious if that's true. If so ill be transplanting them ASAP. But what's.the.deal experts?? Cover the roots??

yes put something around the bottle to prevent roots from contact with light. Poke holes in bottom of bottle for drainage and put a saucer under it to collect excess water. next time use 4 inch pots.

Yeah, I planned on transplanting them to bigger pots still. My issue was room though, I have my room on the flowering light cycle so I can't keep the little ones in there. I used an old sub box, lol its only temp. Tho I wanna give them a more stable enviornment so they don't stress out.

Funniest thing, I have one. I'm just a super nice person and want to spread the love for growing, so my homie is usin it at.the moment. I have a sixhundred watt light Nd balast too that he also has. I can't just be like " hey Bro I need my stuff back, good luck finding a place for your plants now." He needs a bit more time. I should just sell him that one and buy a new one... I'm rambling sry.

I put two surplus seedlings in pale green 3 liter ginger ale bottles.
I was curious if the light from dual 400 watt lamps would bother it.
After 9 weeks flowering; the roots was packed tight, but the plant did OK...go figure?
(well, there is a label around the bottles)
