So my seedlings are getting bigger and my friend keeps telling me to top them. He did one of them just to show me how and its doing fine still. Ive never heard of topping such a young plant. Is there a recommended size for topping?

Never top a plant during its vegitive state, this will stump its growth. I usually top after about 1 week - 2 week, depending on how well the flower is going. Also don't be put off from topping, as its personal preference to the grower if they do or not.

Its also good if you post a pic from the top of the plant and also of the plant on a whole.

I cannot say that I disagree with you cangro, but toping a plant also depends on the look you want your plants to have, the space you have to grow them and method of growing. Many growers dont mind stumping the growth, and like the longer veg time. But you are right never fim a plant to young. This can happen.....[attachment=o279338] splits on you. So monitor closely your plants when you use fim !

Yup, pretty sure that splitting thing is gonna happen to that one dude topped already, but there's two new so I have those. I wasn't really down with damaging such a small plant like.that but so far.its not drooping or anything so... Hpfly thing work out for the little buffers.lol

What did you mean by that "Hpfly thing work out for the little buffers.lol" sometimes I have trouble understanding slang. Might be because I speak french;)

I personally top around the 4th or 5th node in veg. Im starting to do alot of lst so pretty much all of my training is during veg. Plus it gives the plant time to recoop before flowering which in return gives you less chance of popping nanners. IMO.

If your plant get top heavy during flower you can alway stake and tie it up so you dont have to worry about splitting. Plus once again less stress on the flowering plant. Just my 2 cents
