No its not as the title actually is, but I have noticed that since coming back, I am the oldest member on the site. Now I know people move on and find better things to do with their time, but come on I can be the oldest member here surely not!!!!

:admin1:CanGro: I think we have periods of our lives, we have more time for pleasure and not so much time for a Forum. So, we are sleeping (so to speak) at times and do not go on the Forum. Rest assured, many still watch in and do not log in due to probation, law related problems or simply, lack of time. Other move-on, as you say. Apparently quite a few did over a short period of time, due to changes. As we age, we tolerate change less and less! While we were sleeping, they moved on and I surely miss many of them. However, I have discovered, many in this Forum are very opinionated and will not tolerate anyone else's opinion and insist on always being 'correct' even when they are wrong. It takes a mature and strong person to admit their short-comings, apologize and continue. It is much easier to just move on and shove your opinions on another Forum. Unfortunately, most that left appear to be absolutely correct in their opinions. But, that is just my opinion and I already have one ding (warning) for mildly giving an un-informed opinion! Guess this will be another! Oh, and I have seen a member recently posting that has been around since 2005, but you are a rare treat here!

When you see Dutch Pimp's Avatar, you will have a clue! Or the posts that kindly say, 'the lights are on, but no one is home.' Nice to see you in the Forum and hope I am still around to keep posting! If not, see you in another, that is. . .if I have the time, am not in jail (activism-you know, freedom of speech and rights for all) or banned for life! I see posts that haven't been screened for approval and badmouth typers with power and the posts remain! This is the internet and people say a lot of stuff, it is a virtual world of play for a demon and often that is what you may find and everything has to be taken with a grain of salt and not wear your feelings on your shoulder.

I can warn you, do not post on Father's day! As on this past one, someone wrote and flooded every single thread banned repulsive things and I still see no ban or any comments or apology for taking such pleasure for a very special day for many, in here, in the past! pr

I never rarely have anything to say, unless it is a word of wisdom, which seldom never comes in form.

Sort of hard not to notice that the two oldest ones are the moderators. Wonder what this says about the old members who did not stick around or are no longer posting, or is it a comment as to the times or something else?

Before you jump on me mods... I am not complaining. Just noticing. Congratulations on your longevity. :)

Interesting. It usually ends up like that for whatever reason(s). Mods come and go in similar cycles, but are almost always the old-timers compared to the general masses.

Plus with the various transitions around here, people have left for their own reasons or just become disinterested, which happens to us all at times. I'd be willing to guess that as much as 80% of the people around here now won't be here in 2-3 years.

This goes to all of you/us,

You only as old as you feel. I mean in your mind if your mind believe you old then you are. How to not feel old you have to start believe you in the here and now. Yesterday is gone you cannot do a dam thing about that. Tomorrow is not here yet the best you can do is plan and most plans fail. The key is TODAY it is here and now live it and :rastasmoke: because one of yesterday plans got through that you made it to today what more can you ask for in a mess up world. Many people that were here yesterday are not here today just GONE in the wind. I want to live for today and I am young.

Well, I don't think I'll be baited into another 'moderator' quip in an attempt to defend, that could be mistaken. I have reviewed some posts from the past several months and it seems, that a lot of the "old members" are still lurking in and occasionally can't help to post. It is nice to see they are still around. AS we all still need and like their advice. I have seen a few young of age, get busy with college, careers and life in general. It is a sure bet, they will most likely be back. We do hope. I certainly do. There are a few threads that were left hanging, and I will stick around or lurk back in (if I get too busy) to see if they every post the final decisions of their indecisions! Especially, the guy that "...My wife doesn't know that I burn, but. . .." he finally told her the last I noticed and I am still anxious to hear the answer. Bet she took away his Ipod!

I would believe we are talking about 'old members' and not age. Even some younun's can feel old for a day. I am a fortunate one. When I first came to Canna. com I was going through a lot of pain, etc. Luckily, I hardly need medication from my M.D. at all. As much as I enjoy my pot, I don't even use it daily anymore. Even though it is half the price now, that it was a few years ago. In fact, I use it more for allergy than pain, at this point. But, then I do use for pleasure and it would be a toss-up, if I would have needed it for pain or not! But, I do partake with my medibles for pleasure and tha twould be a preventative measure! Trying to take off a few pounds and haven't had a brownie in a bit.

I grow a bit, buy a bit and protest for legalization alot! There is a lot of jobs and answers to the future for the people that are young of age in this fine world! You, that know the value of a fine plant. Corn is not the answer, you can't medicate with it. A great multi-use plant-marijuana/hemp. Close the prisons down and grow it there, fences are in place! Get our Pot Using freinds out of jail! Back on their front porches in the rocker.

I will soon buy my rocking chair and give my armchair, sidewalk consultations as I hope to see a lot of the economy restored with a "Pot Rush" . No one minds paying fair prices for good bud, if we have better access. It is most so seldom you find a good funny pothead in a nasty angry fight. We are lovers not warriors!

I would say, it really is interesting to see that moderators are seemingly the "oldest" members that are active here. I don't even know what to speculate on that. But, we do have a few older members and, interestingly, they seldom post, at all, maybe 3 times a year, if that. Prolly a good way to have a good standing! As I have learned so much in this Forum, not just about pot, but life around the world! Have a Good evening, all, gonna go take my last walk of the day and off to L.A. tomorrow. pr

You were still using a modem,then.. As was I.1995-2000 were my first years at this site. When I first found this site. There were several of us that were at Overgrow.com,now defunct. We were lookin' for a site to settle in at found this one. Back then there was only Ron and no mods.Trolls everwhere! Trying to kill the forums!! Most had respect for eachother since we had already been dealing with one another for years. Uncle Ben,Mota20,Dreamer,Gonzo klozit king,Tampiman and the list goes on! Some I still keep in touch with and some have passed away. One being the late great,mota20! He passed away in 1999. Dreamer being one of the founders of all that Bad Ass Berry strains coming out of Oregon.Great Guy! He used to call me Johnny Reb. Wish I could dig up all those post from back in the day! Now this is makin' me feel real OLD!

Peace to ya all!!

Yes you should because the thread start with : I feel old - Seem to be oldest member here and you said you felt old. I don't your age but that just a way to count the days you been here and that is misleading it assume that there is an end to count the days. We do not know if there is an end to this or not yes a change happens but is that an end I have no proof one way or the other. That was my point and now that you clear you point. Your friend maybe some were else thinking of you. Why not!
