flowering outside????

my batch is almost done vegging (inside). Why couldnt i just put them outside (AZ) to flower. there is about 8-9 hours of good light plus the climate would be perfect. makes sense to me but I'm not sure. Anyone with know-how and experience please advise.

If your in AZ your cuttin it very close to your freeze date for outdoor. depending on your strain you will need at leat 8weeks to flower your plants outdoors..but its possible to do just bring inside at night when the n ight temps get cold..peace and good luck

Well i have seen it done late into fall and early winter. here are some tips. Dig a hole to place buckets into ground to keep root warmer . This will aslo keep the plant lower to the ground. then you can use some 2x3 or 2x4 lumber to build a simple frame.Then staple clear plastic to it. This will give you a small greenhouse to place over it on the cooler day and at night.Depending how close it is to electric source you can always run a power cord for a small heater if it get cold towards the end of flowering.As long as the sun is shining directly on it. The plastic will hold the heat in quite well.Also the person i seen do this made mini greenhouse about 6 inches taller then plant.he then lsd or tied plant down .It worked quite well he harvested plants in early december, people just scratched there head when he told them they were from outside. As long as temps are ok and they get 8-10 hours of direct sun you will be more then fine.

I have heard of some here in SoCal that are vegging inside and flowering outside. They place the plants down into trenches and then cover them with tarps (not touching the plants) to produce the dark period required. Uncover in the morning to start the 12 hours of light (or less) and then cover 12 hours later for 12 on - 12 off light timing.

The benefits are of course savings in lighting cost for flowering and also freeing up the veg area for new clones.

I've had plants experience chronic wilt going from inside to direct sun. I'd suggest partially shading them and giving them a few hours a day for a few days.

Purple daddy is right you should put your plant in a window for a few weeks. That way when the sun moves during the day at some point your plant is gona have shade and windows filter part of the uv light emited from the sun so it's not going to wilt. If leaf stems grow longer for does 2 weeks dont worry! If plant is turning towards the sun coming from the window everythings ok!

thanks a lot everyone. i been sitting them outside for a few hours a day and they seem to be doing ok. its still 100 degrees here so ill gradually be bringing them outside longer and longer till nov 1. then ill leave em out there. wish me luck i'll post some pics around mid nov if things are going well

Just wanted to add somthing. If you do have to cover them due to cold weather. watch out in late flower for bud rot. When you cover a plant and it get warm inside the plastic and then the temps drop at night. It tends to get a lot of condinsation on the inside causing it to be very wet and humid.Just open plastic during warmest part of the day to dry things out.
