Ok, my wife was trying to be nice by thinking she would surprise me by getting me some soil to start my grow, well she got the soil alright' and it says it has perlite in it but i only see like 10 little peaces out of the 4 pots i filled with it about 3 days ago. This soil has BIG ASS peaces of Maulch(wood)in it but the bag says good drainege and Plus slow release plant food, when i water it, looks like it turns into strait mud. Well anyways here is the name of the soil.>(Greenleaf Professional Potting Soil, Plus Slow Release Plant food)<
So will this stuff work or do i need to go myself and get something els?
or can any of u guys tell me what you use that works very well, like the exact name of the brand.
Thx ppl :)

I am not much for soil with slow realease plant food. But if you put the plants in it at an older age they should make it. hard to flush soil at the end of flowering when the soil is full of nutes. I hear ppl say it works. But it isnt right for my game.

I don't agree here I have used FoxFarm Ocean soil and Power Flower both have nutes in them and they are for the long hual. Both give 90 days worth of food which is about the life of the plant. The only other nutes are Bonoro Booster and Tiger Bloom other than that I don't add anything untill it looks like they need something.
I would look on the bag and see if you can use for fruits and veggies...than I would say ok try it this time and see how it does.

If you havent all ready put the seed in the soil, you have two choices. Of course choice #1 is to just go get new soil (Miracle-Grow, Black Gold, ect.) and your choice #2 is to add lots of perlite to the soil you have. Its up to you but I would recomend takeing the soil back, tell them its shit and they should stop selling it and buy some new soil of the names I listed. I'd also recomend not to get timed released for seedlings. Thats my input on this and good luck on your grow. Peace

you cant start a seed in soil with nute in them. you will fry your plants. Some may make it. But growin is hard enough ,I dont make it difficult. I keep it basic . If it works for you then do .It was just my preference..
