I'm from Ireland and I'm an LED and CFL fan !

Will keep ye all posted on my new grow.

Keeping a good record of what going on. Want to prove the use of the LED.

Using a Pro-Grow 260 And 4 x 20w CFLs (red) at the moment.

Believe it or not, the CFLs are only in the tent to keep the temp up. It was hitting below 68 F.

Anyone got any experience with the Pro-Grow 260 from Hydroponics Hut ?

Hey guys.
Just to let ye all know, this isn't spam. I took the plunge with and LED light. Its my third grow in my entire life but I wanted to see if LED could do it. I did an indoor and an outdoor when I lived away foreign. The outdoor turned out great, the indoor was under a 600w high-pressure sodium and turned out crap.

well, to be fair. the CFLs are only there to keep the temp up. Its getting cold here now.

80watts of CFL wont do much good hanging between 9 babies.

absolutely excellent work man i see you put alot of effort into both your grow and report, a friend of mine is just finishing a cfl grow and with just 4 x 20watt's has got some amount of bud, i finished a grow recently and was going to switch to hps but now i think a little led help might do the trick, will get back to you for advise keep up the good work:thumbsup::jointsmile:

hey dude me again, pro grow is serious money and i'm looking on ebay at cheeper led grow lights, just recently lost 10 seeds in grow so i have to reinvest in more putting back my led funding for now, i assume the cheep led's will do, if you get a chance have a look on ebay.ie and let me know if you see anything good but not too pricey and what you'd avoid, seeds are setting me back 90yo yo's again and will take forever to arrive if they do at all:(

Hey stealth, to be honest you are taking a very big risk on ebay. 90% of those lights are junk.
You can look up threads about the products and see what people say, the general consensus is to say away from Chinese made LED lights.
If you are going to invest I would use the light you have for this grow, and then save for a Pro-Grow or whatever light you choose.
On ebay you are paying what ? €100 per light ? Believe me, you will be throwing this €100 away... save and get a good, proven, tested, reviewed light.
Have a look at other sites related to LED technology, find underground growers and see what they have to say. Its better to have one good light than 2 or 3 bad ones.

Ill be adding a new post tomorrow to my grow log. Things are starting to look good.

Stick with your HID lighting for now and save for an LED lamp. Dont waste your money on junk. Trust me.

cheers dude looks like i'll be saving for a pro grow maybe even a 400. i'm only planning 6 plants but the extra light won't go to waste, your plants are coming on very nicely you should try lowering the cfl's to the lower buds, the heat will rise and the lower buds will get more light, check out my latest pics of a friends grow using 4 x 20watt cfl's we were both surprised at the yield and lovely smoke too. its in irish tokers group:jointsmile:

Glad you decided to save a few quid for a decent light.
Any tip that you need you can find on my grow journal regarding the light.
I'd say that each pro-grow 260 is good for a 1sqM area and can properly grow 4 plants.
If you keep it to 4 plants you will have a better yield in my opinion.

hi again, i'm also looking at plasma grow lights they look very promising too but are that little bit more expensive, but the 260 could be a nice stepping stone onto the bigger guns, anyhow keep up the good work :jointsmile:

hey dude, nice grow just checked out your pics and it looks like you done real good, i didn't know about the humidity of the curing jars, where did you get the humidity meters and how much? i've just taking clones off my plant and put her in 12h cycle so 3mts from now i hope to be where you are now, i'll post pics the weekend, your new plants look like there stretching for the light a bit might be something to watch out for anyhow enjoy a few mths of chemical free smoking you lucky fecker and make sure to check out my grow after the weekend ;)
