I appreciate that this can vary greatly depending on setup, strain and filter make. But how long do your carbon filters generally last? Also, are they 100% effective throughout their life? or do you find they tend to struggle towards the end of their life and let some smell through.

Yeah it pretty much depends on the filter/space and overall environment....

I got myself a carbon fiber filter not too long ago to try it out.... Well it worked for the first couple months but after having to wash it every month, it's effectiveness wore thin.... Replaced it with a Phresh Filter.... I asked the store owner the same question about longevity....and he responded that the Phresh Filter can be emptied and refilled with fresh carbon if the smell starts coming through....maybe every 4-6 months....

I've had the bigger newer filter going for 4 months now and have yet to smell my garden outside of the cab....and now use the fiber filter for intake....

I use a large filter, maybe bigger than I need. Its about the size of a 40 gal water tank. I used to replace it every two years. Lately however, I have been keeping the filter on 24/7... and so I change it out once a year.

Thanks for the input guys, you have kinda confirmed what I thought. I am using good quality refillable filters 24/7 in a permanent flower room, they are small and I seem to be getting about 5 months a filter so far. This seems reasonable for my setup and the costs of refilling.
