we petition the obama administration to:
Remove Marijuana from the Schedule 1 list of drugs in the Controlled Substances Act

Marijuana is currently classified as a Schedule 1 drug in the Controlled Substances Act, a category reserved for drugs which have "no currently accepted medical use". Marijuana has known medical uses and therefore should not be classified as a Schedule 1 substance. The federal government should "accept" marijuana's known medical uses and remove it from the Schedule 1 list of drugs.

good luck. of course, the very fact that we need to petition the executive branch to write legislation, is itself unconstitutional. but, yeah, e-petition the hell out of them. :jointsmile: I predict they keep resisting until 2012 when a few States may force the issue. :twocents:

but, that said .... gutting this unconstitional CSA would be a great way for the President to prove he does have some respect for our United States Constitution. ... not gonna happen but one can suggest anyway. :jointsmile:
