Hey, I have a urine test coming up on Oct 6th which will be exactly 95 days since i last smoked. I did a home test on Aug 1st and passed with a faint line and a another home test on Sept 1st which I also passed with faint line. But after reading some of the info in the forums I am worried that the lab test is more accurate than the home tests, ie. if its a GC MS will I pass as these seem to be more accurate ??

I weigh 150lbs and am 6ft tall, I was smoking almost everyday but it was dark green Mexican weed which was not that strong in comparison to weed in USA or Europe. Nonetheless I am still shitting it about whether I will pass or not because I face deportation from an Asian country if I fail.

I also read on another forum that in the country I am going to someone failed after 60 days and the doctor claimed that their tests could now test " further back in a persons history " Although I dont know how reliable that info is.

Did you pass the home test with the first urination of the day? If so, then you will have no problem passing the lab test. The faintness of a line has no affect on the validity of the test. Even synthetic urine will produce a faint line. The GC/MS will not be used first in the testing process. This test is only used to confirm a positive test result after the initial drug screen, which will be an Immunoassay. The Immunoassay is practically the same as any home dip test or cup test that you can buy at you local pharmacy or Walmart.

If you didn't use the first void of the day, then I would suggest picking up another home test and doing so.

No it wasnt the void of the day and I dont have time to get another test before i leave. Saying that though I am planning on using the 3rd or 4th void on the day of the test because I am gonna drink a shitload of gatorade on the morning of the test.

I hope it will be ok because as I passed the home test almost 60 days ago I would have thought that was enough time to clear for a lab test. If the home test was 50ng and the lab test is 15ng do you think it will have reduced enough in that amount of time ? Also are most lab tests set at 15ng or 50ng ?

Once the sample goes to a lab, an Immunoassay screen is conducted first, with a 50 ng/ml cutoff limit for THC. If the sample is positive, then the sample will undergo a confirmation GC/MS with a 15 ng cutoff level.

Dont let the differing cutoff levels between the two types of tests worry you. Even though their cutoffs numerically differ, a 50 ng assay is functionally equivalent to the 15 ng GC/MS. Their cutoffs numerically differ because the assay recognizes all 31 metabolite concentrations combined, while the GC/MS recognizes only one metablite concentration (THC-COOH). For more info on this, read my posts in this thread:

Ok cool thanks for the reply.. So you think I should pass the lab test then if I passed the home test on Aug 1st and on 1st Sept? the test is on 5th or 6th of Oct and my last blaze on a leaf was on the 1st of July.

Deige already answered that question. If youre consistently testing negative on the home test using the first urination of the day, youre good to go.

Anytime you test yourself with a home test, you always use the first urination of the day when THCA concentrations would be at their highest. By doing this, you are testing yourself under the "worst-case scenario".
Taking a home test during the later portions of the day skews the results due to fluids you may have consumed (as part of normal routine) during the course of the day. The fluid consumption dilutes the THCA concentration that is present in the bladder to where a urine sample registers a negative (providing that the THCA concentration in the bladder is not too high). This phenomena is only temporary - once youve urinated out all the fluids youve consumed, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine and thus the donor would resume testing positive for THC.
