Hi everyone, i am really stressed right now! I went to labcorp for the first time today for a pre-employment test, my sub bottle was temperature perfect, but only about 75% of what they were requesting. I panicked and peed a tiny dribble of my own urine jst to raise it above the temperature strip.(i would say less than 10-15% of total specimen was mine) I took an at home test yesterday and it had a very faint "negative" result. I have bladder issues so i am almost always diluted due to frequent urination. I had already gone 2 or 3 times at home before i was at the lab. The concern is i took 2 puffs last night cuz i was sure my sub was gonna be ok. To sum it up, I am curious if anyone else has had to do this, and if it generally worked? I am hoping that because i used such a small amount of my own pee,and it was pretty clear-my sub was a 1st pee of day so really strong color, will it drop my level low enough to pass???? anyone????:(

Should be ok. It takes 24 hours for the thc to metabolize and enter the urine.

I guess the real question now is: What did you do 2 nights before? If you are showing a weak negative-most likely that is what they will get also! Have you tested for a speciman before this? At least you switched the sub in successfully! pr

i tested neg on a home test 2 days before the test(darker then a faint line, but not as dark as control) Test was friday 9am, havent heard back yet.....stressin!
also-this was my very first ua at a lab in years! I read about subbing, and just carried it in a coffee cup o' hot water till 1 block from lab,at that point it tested 101f on my dig thermometer. So, i "boobed" it and went in, bout 5 min wait and tested at 97f. That was so much easier than I could ever have imagined! Just wish i had taken enough-or not
panicked and asked if they would accept what i had before adding my own. I guess you live and learn but man i want this job! will update with the news-whatever it is :(

That sucks :( sorry to hear that. Do you not have a Cannibis card? Also just a to take this 1 step further...I wonder what would have happened if let the sink drip enough water to make up the difference? I know you cant turn the sink ON and most of the time the water in the toilet is blue so obviously that wouldnt have been an option. Did you tank up on water at all? Since you subbed im guessing you didnt, but if you would have I bet it would have helped your chances out tremendously.

I wonder what would have happened if let the sink drip enough water to make up the difference? Before you think about doing this, youd better verify the urine samples specific gravity and creatinine levels and hope that they are well within the acceptable ranges.
What can happen is the water can cause the creatinine and SG numbers to take a nosedive, resulting in a "too-dilute" ruling. And if the numbers happen to drop low enough, the result would be a "not consistent with human urine" (aka "substituted specimen") ruling.
I wouldnt recommend adding anything or "topping off" a drug-free substituted sample. 2 fl oz of sample is enough for a U/A. The collector may ask for more, only to discard the excess. Under DHHS regulations, if 2 fl oz of urine sample is all the donor can submit, the collector has to accept it.

so sorry to hear about that. Surely, there is a better job somewhere else for you! With a jobless rate over 12%, any job is better than no job! Good luck to you! pr
