when is done done?

In a newbie. I started aeroflow in march, with bag seeds. Time past and weather got hot. The system pretty much boiled. I transplant a few into dirt and they took. Well since I started new, (mail order seeds) in hydro again. GH nutes but added pump thru the resv. to a 2.5 gal bottle in a freezer to chill the water. Holding 65 f on water and 88 amb. air temp . All great till the 4 I wanted to grow streached. I pulled 2 into the house, (from shed) into 5gal bucket dwc . Both on 400 hps the shed pair went male . Pair in house are white dwarf auto and barneys LSD . Sell my auto is at 12 weeks. I never topped, cut or supper cropped (now wishing I did) well o got nuggets. I have a loop, 60x to 100x . The trichs are milky, not much amber. NOW MY QUESTION... White dwarf auto, do I want milky white trichs? Or so I look for amber trichs? The stems feel hollow most the way ro the buds, still pretty green, fans leaves are gone. Most by themselves. Is post but can't yet, cell phone poster here and not sure if possible. Anyhow , I have others sprout'n and hope to show off my system soon. Milky or amber is my question...

A little less simple than that.
After they turn milky, they are harvest-able, but the effect will be quite "uppity".
Wait for amber, less, head, more body.

No law says you must harvest all at once, ya know.

Take a few buds,
Dry n try,
Make some notes.
Wait a week.
Repeat.
That works well with any first-run harvest.

What Weez mentioned works very well and if you harvest ur plants in stages u will allow the whole plant a chance to finish. When cutting down try to open up light space to get lower and further in the plant, this will allow the lil stuff that was in the shade to finish.

Thanks guys... I took a few buds off, got 'em hanging to dry. I guess I should of read ya'lls posts before I cut 'em. I'm looking for the body high. I'll wait a few more days watching for amber trichs, I didn't get the resin production that I see on others plants, the smell is there but no frost. Maybe the next will be better. I went to soil grow with these next plants. I have white dwarf, great white shark , blueberry auto , LSD and il diavolo growing now. They are only a week in soil but all on second set of leaves.LSD and a clone from a first LSD are going into flower now, along with another white dwarf. I still have the aeroflow system working 2 plants, blueberry and white dwarf but after 2weeks now they are smaller then the week old soil plants. Give'n them time to do their thing . Thanks for the input and advise.
