Hey Everyone,
I'm new here. I'm an MMJ patient in north San Diego County and looking to connect with like minded folks. I've got a micro-grow happening right now (well under the state and municipal limits) and am just kinda looking for medical, legal and botanical resources.
In my spare time, I make weird music, read strange books and garden.
Cheers,
Me
ps: I forgot to mention that my day job means I spend a LOT of time working with several vBulletin installations. Admins -- hit me up if you have needs.

Welcome to Cdot, brah.
Suggest you jump right in and read through the archives here.
Just click my sig.
Once you've read all that, any questions you might still have will be breaking new ground for everyone, yah?
As for your reluctant virgins.
How they "see" the outdoor conditions in San Diego will have much to do with the hours and intensity they have come to "expect" from your indoor lighting.
The day length is not important, but the number of hours of uninterrupted darkness, is!
Anything illumination over about a half Lux will inhibit flowering in most strains, and the length of dark period required is very strain dependent.
Aloha and E komo mai

Hey! Thanks for the welcome, Weezard, and I'll definitely hit the archives. It's not like I'm trying to reinvent the wheel, so they should come in really handy. :)
As for my ladies, they are getting ~12 hours of dark, no brighter than maybe a quarter moon. My research on these strains is that they are going to need about 9 weeks flowering time, so I'm going to play it cool for a little longer and not tamper with them any more than I have to.

No worries.
If they have gone alternate and are still stretching, they will be fine.
At your lattitude, this delay is a good thing.
Means more bud at harvest.
Aloha,

Right on, and thanks again.
I just went and got another look at them and they are showing (what I'm guessing to be) stretch in the top-middle sections -- above nodes 5-7 but not going all the way up to the top. I'm gonna wait it out. :)
