I don't have a magnifier-thingy so I can't see the changes in the trichs, almost 50% of the hairs have gone through their color changes. On top of that, the worms are still ravaging my crop...
How early is too early for harvest? I don't wanna ruin all my hard work by snipping too early and missing the window fer the flowers optimum deliciousness...:wtf:
Any suggestions?

Are the calyx swollen with a false seed pod? The little white/red/brown hairs stick out of a calyx, the hairs are intended to catch pollen and the seed develops in the calyx.

"Ya don't eat a good pig like that all at once" ;)
Seriously, there's no law that says you can't snip some now, and some later.
The top buds probably have most of the budworm eggs that continue to hatch.
So, find a worm, take a bud.
The early picks will be a more uppity experience, the later ones, more soporific.
It's good to have a variety of "side effects", yah?
Aloha,
Weeze.
