Ok, June 18th I started to force bud two plants and as of today most of the buds look about done to me, milky trich's, 30-40% brown hairs and I may have seen a hint of amber but not sure because of the lame light on my microscope. My brother said to wait until the calyx swell up and I've noticed leaving it under a few extra hours of darkness the buds look a little more frosty. I accidently broke off a branch last week and have been drying it out but really doesn't quite smell done to me.

took me 2 days of drying and 5 days curing to get rid of the "grass" smell

High PD,

Based on the info you've given it still sounds like you cut too early. There are very few strains that will mature in that time with any real effect. I've done some tests on some of the new auto strains and if your looking at an 8 week period to smoke then you'll only really get that with a ruda cross
( Auto ). There are also some strains that are looking at about 60 days or so full cycle but without the ruda influence that cuts out the veg stage, the qualities are pretty poor. There are some good lists of fast flowering strains available on the web. Heres one Buy the fastest autoflowering cannabis seeds - Medical Marijuana - Zimbio (http://www.zimbio.com/Medical+Marijuana/articles/4fMHuRCccA6/Buy+fastest+autoflowering+cannabis+seeds) but there will be plenty more if you search google for "fastest autoflowering cannabis"

Well I let them go another week and the trichs were milky to amber, calyx were swollen and the hairs were a good 50%+ brown. Dried out some over a few day period and it seems to be working just fine.
