View Full Version : Does a gap help the overall time of becoming clean? Drug test rapidly approaching!

I have a final, 30 min phone interview tomorrow w/ the regional VP. Its pretty much a done deal in other words. So I should expect an official offer soon, which we all know what that means.

I was a daily user for years of the quality. I knew I was going to start seriously looking for a new gig, so I quit cold for 2 weeks. I then got a bit tipsy over July 4th and smoked at night a couple of days in a row (my dumb ass justified it by doing math in my head somehow). I have been clean since then, now 28 days exact. So clean for 2 weeks, a slip up, then back to clean for 4 weeks now.

My question is how far does the slip up set me back? I assume the 2 week gap prior to the partaking still helps in the overall process... correct?

I passed a First check test today, so I assume I am at least on the right track?

Thanks for all the advice!!! Much luck all around to everyone!

When you took the home test, did you use the first urination of the day?

No, I used it after work today as I was just curious. But, I have another one I bought just for the occasion, tomorrow AM. Anxious to see the results.

Oh, just for reference.... I probably smoked about an eighth every few weeks/month.

If you test negative with the first urination of the day, youre good to go. And the question about how far the slip-up had set you back becomes moot.

BTW..Nobody can realisticly tell how far the slip up has set you back. Each persons body is different and there are too many variables to take into account to arrive at even a guess. Only periodic home testing (with the first urination of the day each time) can give you that answer.

Thanks! That makes sense. I will post an update after the AM test.

I passed! Had two very solid lines. However, for whatever reason my urine was a bit clear this morning... despite it being my first piss of the day. I guess it would not hurt to test again tomorrow morning.

Wow!! Had my phone interview this morning, and he said to expect something by next Friday. Then I get a call just now and got offered the job! They want a drug test THIS FRIDAY!!

2 weeks clean, slip up, and then exactly 30 days since clean to the date I take my test. Kind of making me nervous. I passed two First check piss tests already.

Should I just go for it? Or is there a slight dilution approach as a just in caser? I think I will be fine, but its just that what if ya know???

Take one more home test, again using the first-days urination. If you still test negative there, youre good to go.

Or is there a slight dilution approach as a just in caser? No need to do any dilution if your tests are all negative with the first-days urination. For the day of the scheduled U/A, just drink only enough fluids to where youre able to produce a sufficient amount of urine sample.
