Looking for a strain for a potential medical user. Historically, pot has for lack of a better word, "fucked this person up" to the point that using medical cannabis isnt an option they are interested in. Is there a medical strain being grown now that has anti inflamatory and pain killer properties? This persons diagnosis is RA, Lupus and chronic pain. Looking for some strain of cannabis that wont turn them into a drooling mong. Does one exist? Thanks for the help.

Hiya!
Just saw your post, looks like you asked this question some time ago. Hope this answer somehow finds you.
I have MS and have used cannabis medicinally for some time. Jack Herer makes me walk/think/move better, I can pee on command (sometimes an issue with MS) definitely decreases pain, without the "stupid". You can solve all your problems while you are high. ;-) (It's a "thinkers" delight!) It's a hybrid, with pretty strong sativa qualities. Like it a lot. Not hard to grow.It really helps me get stuff done around the house. No noticeable increase in appetite. would consider this one pretty stimulating.
I also have some experience with Kandy Kush (was voted medical strain of the year in Colorado. I like it; it's great for pain, spasms, stiffness, sleeplessness, some increase in appetite. But, alas, it makes me stupid for several days after using, so I only use it in an "emergency".
But my favorite medical strain, by far, is Kush Berry. (A cross of Kush and DJ shorts Blueberry) Great for pain, mood, spasms, movement issues, etc. I use it at pretty high temps (vape at 370 - 380) to get the CBD's, which have helped me substantially. It is higher in CBD's and lower in THC (11%, I think) than most, so your day can move forward, with you feeling just great. Not too much "stupid" noticed with this one.
Have also used Northern Lights #5. Makes me pretty sluggish and ready for sleep, but relieves pain and tension very well. Sometimes can depress my mood if I use it for too many days in a row, so I don't. Pretty appetite neutral, as far as I can tell. Not terribly good at spasm or spasticity, but I get relaxed.
