Please answer my question about germination!?!?

Well my single seed of sour diesel has been germinating for 3 or 4 days now. The problem is that the seed is clearly open and showing the white root inside of it, but the root has not came out. My question is: Since the seed is open but root has not emerged, is it definite that the root will come out in time or should I go ahead and plant it?

PS: This is my first time germinating a weed seed..

Plant it, put a dome over it, get some light on it

Alrite I planted it a half a inch or less deep, put a dome over it, and also put it under a dome. My question now is will it definitely sprout since the seed has opened and showing the root inside? Also how long will it take to sprout? Thx for the help
